Helmets What modular helmet to buy?

Believe it or not, a drop down visor isn't a feature I desire and a Multitec small with optional 41 mm cheekpads is a perfect fit for me. After 4 years I want another one. Mistake? I am afraid changing styles may be a mistake for me when I am perfectly happy with my present favorite helmet for the reasons I mentioned. I'm sure that you will be happy with your new helmet.
Well, I just might have to eat those words. I hope I like my new helmet as much as my old favorite Multitec. Time will tell.

Look at the Shark Evoline. I have had a series 2 for over 2 yrs and love it. It is double rated both with chin bar and without. Only drawback is that it is a bit heavy but I think the new Series 3 may be lighter. There are some good article about this product. It works differently than all the others. Most mod helmets are not meant to be used open but this one is.

I bought a Scorpioon EXO-900 a while back and now refuse to wear it. I bought it for the modular feature and to install a headset, but it is the noisiest helmet I've ever had. If I installed the headset I 'd probably blow my ears out with the volume to be able to hear it. Not only that, but the visor doesn't seal well to the helmet which allows it to leak in the rain. The seal is so bad you can see the gap between the edge of the visor and the surface of the helmet which also explains the high amount of wind noise. I've used Scorpion helmets for the last several years including the EXO-100 half, EXO-200 3/4, and an EXO-400 full face which I switch between depending on the type of riding I'm doing that day and have been happy with all of them. The EXO-900 was a definite disappointment.

Does the EXO-900 have adjustment screws to align it? The reason I ask is I replaced the face shield on my Shoei X-11 with one that had pinlocks. It would not seal up on the left bottom when closed. After looking more into the manual, there were adjustment screws at the hinges that solved the fitting problem and sealed it back up as good as the original.
