What riding pants/overpants do you recommend?

Just to let you know, Cycle Gear (at least in Daytona Beach) is having a sale tonight from 7 to 9 pm. 40% off all mesh gear. I was in today to pick up some new gloves and had them set aside a set of FirstGear Mesh pants. Normally $129.00 - tonight they should cost me $77.40. I don;t know if this is just here in Daytona or at all Cycle Gear shops. They are billing it as their after hours sale. Everything else in the store is 10% off, so I had them hold onto the gloves I ordered. Will pick them up tonight with the pants.

I wear Cycleport Stretch Kevlar pants and jacket. They are comfortable (for me) in 100 plus temperature without high humidity. Haven't been in high humidity so can't say if they work as well or better than mesh. I have the Quad armor which makes them bulky. I run a cable through them and lock them to the ST when leaving the bike. The stretch kevlar is very soft day one but requires air flow to keep cool in high heat. My wind shield is usually at the lowest setting in high heat. I would like to reduce wind noise but doing so reduces air flow and brings on the heat inside my jacket. My pants have not been a problem.

I've rode 8 hours in 100 to 106 degree weather on several days without a problem. I have a cooling vest should I need it.

The gear is very expensive and not for everyone.

Can you compare the Motoport stretch kevlar jacket to the cordura regarding heat? I have the kevlar pants and love em. Great material.
