I am probably one of the few people that cannot answer this at the moment. I can guess by going to my tool drawer and picking up the required socket. But I no longer have the ST1300, and I might be wrong.

Can any one tell me what size Socket I need for the following items please ?

1 - Front Axle Nut - I think 22mm
2 - Rear Axle nut - I think 27mm
3 - Front Axle, left hand side, Hex tool - I think 17mm

Explanation. In December I got a Spyder. I tried to trade in my 1300 but they offered a ridiculously low price. I thought if I'm virtually giving it away I'd rather give it to my brother - I felt that I was losing less money that way, and I needed the space in the garage ! With his birthday coming up, I know that he hasn't got the tools for taking the wheels off. I thought I could just go to the tool tray and pick them out - I can, but now I've done it, I am not sure.

I can't definitively answer this, having sold my service manual and bike, and don't want to just go off AI's instructions.

Your bother would also need tools to loosen the pinch bolts on the forks and front brake caliper bolts.

not familiar with the 1300, but the front axle on the 1100 is 24mm, not 22mm, so the 1300 may also be 24mm.

I can almost guarantee that if you leave one size at home, there's a 100% chance you'll need that size, so take everything and don't try to be efficient.
