When CANADA got some Green ones

I make it a habit to look on kijiji on a weekly basis, sometimes it was multiple times per day… sad life I have :)
I can’t remember seeing Canadian models listed from these years. 1991, 1992, 1994.
You probably keep going back there because that is where you found a good deal on your ABSII model, right?

Canada got ST1100 and ST1100A models every year from 1992 to 2002, plus 50 silver standard ST1100s in 1991 and 200 black ones in 1990. (But at most 15 ABS models per year, I think. And one Canuck owns two of the somewhat rare '91 silver ones.)

I got good deals on both the ABSII models I purchased. ;). The 1990 was number 65, it’s still running strong.
Next month I expect to see a new batch of 1100s on the market, might just see a 91 Silver about. ;)

By the way, what other web sites have parts lists for Canadian models? (Market code CM)
I would like to know of some of those websites as well, if anyone knows.
Every parts fiche that I look at from Canadian retailers always seems to show the parts lists from the US market. I say this because the colour codes don't match for those years where the colours were different between Canada and the US.

I live in Alberta Canada and have a Green ST1100. Bought it last year as a Covid project....
What are the first ten characters of its Vin?

JH2SC26---

What is the colour code on the white sticker under the seat and on the black cross member?

*G142M* ?

Was it available in both Wineberry and green in Canada in 1998?
I only saw green ones when I was shopping back in 1998. I almost bought a new 1998 ST1100, it was green.
I ended up buying a new 1999 which was Wineberry. So was the new 2000 that I bought.
What is the colour code for your wineberry red?

*R114CU* ?

I really don't know Dave. The 1999 was stolen, and the 2000 was totaled in an accident I had in 2008, so I no longer have either one.
If I have any records left, and if I find them, I will let you know.

I looked up the final model year, 2002, of Canadian ST1100s on cmsnl. The ABS model was the same colour as the US ST1100A, wineberry red (R114?).

The standard ST1100 was listed as wineberry, too, but it was also listed in both green and a silvery grey colour, seen also for 1998, I think.

Correction: The green and grey colours mentioned above are listed as "alternate parts".
So the standard ST1100 for 2002 seems to have been in wineberry only. See also my post just below for years 1998 thru 2002.

Is anyone up to compiling a catalog of at least the later Canadian ST1100 models, and their colours?

(The simplified view that Canada got the same colours as the USA seems to be too simple.)

I have not seen a wineberry 1998, plenty of green ones. I have only seen one ABS 1998 Green. I have not seen a silver or gray 1998.
I do have a 2002 ABSII and the only colour available was wineberry

I went into cmsnl.com again and looked at front fender colours for "ST1100 Canada" for years 1998 thru 2002.
Unlike last time, when I looked at only year 2002, I learned to ignore "alternative parts" which are front fenders that fit the bike, but presumably are not the same colour as the actual models imported by Canada.

For both the standard ST1100 and the ABS ST1100A models, and for the three years 2000-2002, I found only the wineberry colour, code *r114cu*, which is the same as what the USA got for '00 to '02.

For model year 1999, the X year, and the ABS ST1100A model, I again found only the
red *r114cu* colour, with nice photos of the two piece fender:
https://images.cmsnl.com/img/products/front-fenr114cu_big61101MT3000ZH-01_6791.jpg and
But the photo found for the whole bike seems to be a
golden colour:
That last photo may be of the 50th anniversary model that previously I thought only Europe and Australia got. So did Canada get a red, a gold, a black, or no ST1100A for 1999? (The USA got a black one.)

For model year 1999, the X year, and the standard ST1100 model, I found two colours.
I found the wineberry *r114cu* again, with a photo of the fender:

https://images.cmsnl.com/img/products/front-fenr114cu_medium61101MT3000ZH-01_6791.jpg .
The other colour for a '99 ST1100 seems to be a blue, *b162m*. There is no photo of the front fender, but there's this photo of the whole bike:
https://images.cmsnl.com/img/models/honda-st1100-1999-x-canada_medium00004824_d4da.jpg
Did the Aussies also receive that blue for 1999? (The USA colour was black.)

For 1998, I found only the green colour, *g142m*, for both standard ST1100 and ABS ST1100A.
The photo of the ST1100 fender only is not flattering:
https://images.cmsnl.com/img/products/front-fendg142m_big61101MT3000ZM-01_047b.jpg (The US colour was black.)
But the photo of the whole ST1100 seems
green as expected:
The photo for the '98 ABS ST1100
A Fender A portion is:
https://images.cmsnl.com/img/products/fender-afg142m_big61101MAJG40ZE-01_ef1b.jpg (
green?) (The US colour was black.)
And the photo for the whole '98 ST1100A looks like wineberry red:

How I got these results:
I looked up the parts list for the bike in question. For example, I searched on "ST1100 Canada 2002". Then on the left, I clicked on "body & fenders". Then I located the grid for Front Fender and looked at its parts list.
Do we still have no better site than this cmsnl.com for Canadian models?

In Canada, the 1998 ST1100 was available in a dark green. That is the only colour that I saw available when I was shopping for a 1998. If another colour was available here, I never saw it.

In both 1999 and 2000, the ST1100 colour in Canada was wineberry- I had one of each. Again, if they were available in a different colour here, I never saw it.

Summary so far:

1998 for Canada was only Tasmanian green *g142m* for both Standard ST1100 and ABS ST1100. (But only one green ABS ST1100A has been reported.)

For 1999, the only reported colour is the wineberry *r114cu* although there is a remote possibility there was a blue '99 standard ST1100.

For years 2000 through 2002, both Canada and the USA got only wineberry *r114cu* for both their standard ST1100 and ABS ST1100A.

The only web site for these Canadian models that we have so far is cmsNL.com in the NetherLands.

The remaining actions seem to be mainly to confirm that Canada shared the green colour with Australia in 1998 and maybe blue standards in 1999 although it seems that the Aussies kept any available blue 1999 standard models for themselves. (unconfirmed speculation) And maybe the USA shared some of its black 1999 standard ST1100s with Canada (unconfirmed speculation).
Update: No green front fenders seen in an Australian 1998 model. No blue standards seen in an Australian 1999 ST1100. No sharing was done in 1998?

The '98 green standards were labelled as were other Canadian standards, with a VIN that starts out JH2SC262:
Dave, you said the first 10 digits [of the VIN] ….. JH2SC2625W .
(The W in the 10th position of NiaFit's VIN is the year code for 1998.)

FYI: Today as I was doing a search on Kijiji, I found a Canadian 1999 ABSII in black....
That sounds like a USA model to me because cmsnl.com lists only a winberrry 1999 Canadian ABS. Can you get the first half of its VIN?

Canadian ABSII VIN starts JH2SC265*X .... for 1999, and

USA ABSII starts JH2SC264*X .... for 1999. (which was offered only in black, and has much more low emissions equipment, factory installed)
FYI: Today as I was doing a search on Kijiji, I found ... also a listing for a 1994 in the same red as the '93.
Again, the only 1994 North American colour listed on cmsnl.com is black (code NH1?).

Can you verify that the year is 1994, and there is year code R (not P) in the 10th position of its VIN?
(And if it's a Canadian standard ST1100, there is the digit 2 in the eighth position of the VIN? JH2SC262*R ......)

If the year is indeed 1994 (code R), then ask the seller if the bike was possibly repainted red, but was originally black.

The 99 the speedo is in kilometers. The 94 is also in kilometres and it’s the original colour. I will not ask the sellers for the vin numbers as I have no intention of buying them. They are both located in Quebec
