Who still makes a dash shelf for ST1300?

I forgot to mention that detail... the Migsel with a Zumo XT offers no interference with raising or lowering the windscreen, and thus a good copy wouldn't either.
 
This works like a charm. Use the screws with a metal clip inside the dashboard. It is strong enough.
I use it it with a Garmin XT. Im not a fan off the mounting balls. It will always shake more.
Perfect sight.

It's pretty well made and should be strong enough; the same company sells various attachments for other mounts that appear to have the same hole pattern as the ball mount.

Quoting myself here...I installed the unit and it works well. The included plastic nuts are well made and fill the voids under the panel well, so it doesn't vibrate that I can tell. Much more stable than my Doogee phone/GPS on my DesertX. I was able to mount my Quadlock directly to the mounting block without anything between them so it's about as stable as I can get it.
