Does anyone remember drip oil?The RIGHT oil. They LEFT the cheap stuff to lubricate their swords.

I suppose, but only if you are pointing toward oncoming traffic in your lane (like going the wrong way on a one way street). In the rest of the uncivilized world, a left mounted side stand makes the bike lean toward the left when you park on the side of the road - so oncoming traffic on your side of the road can pick you off as you mount with no trouble at all....Also, here in the civilised world, a bike on its side stand leans away from traffic
Didn't they lube their swords with the blood of their foes? Ok, BD-40The RIGHT oil. They LEFT the cheap stuff to lubricate their swords.

When I park the 13 at the side of the road, without going the wrong way down the road, the bike leans left & traffic passes on the right.I suppose, but only if you are pointing toward oncoming traffic in your lane (like going the wrong way on a one way street).
Get yer own thread...Shouldn't the throttle be on the left for Brits and southpaws?
All this talk about knights carrying a sword on the left because they fought with it in their right hand. Were there no southpaw Lancelots? Was King Arthur left handed and that is why he selected a round table? So many questions, so little time.Shouldn't the throttle be on the left for Brits and southpaws?
He used a round table so all the knights would have a good view of the strippers. Very smart! All this talk about knights carrying a sword on the left because they fought with it in their right hand. Judging by the popularity of spiral staircases in castles, no.All this talk about knights carrying a sword on the left because they fought with it in their right hand. Were there no southpaw Lancelots?
Based on the relatively few stone spiral staircases I have ascended (or de) in England, both of those guys had it rough. The defending Knight had a stone wall on his right, the offending had the stone pillar on his right. I suppose the offensive man could have stabbed upward into the groin or attacked the legs, while the defensive man could cleave his opponent's head in half. It would have been easier for the climbing man to pull out his pocket trebuchet and let fly, and the defender to pour his cup 'o boiling oil on the attacker. Somehow, those castle architects missed viewing the Hollywood Legend of Zorro (with Catherine and Antonio) and preferred narrow stairs to wide expanses designed to film great (fake) swordplay.Judging by the popularity of spiral staircases in castles, no.
So the story goes, the staircases are designed such that a right handed Knight coming down (defending) could use his sword, but the chap coming up (attacking) had the stone pillar in the way.
