Although the stock windshield on my 07 ST1300 is adequate in providing the necessary wind protection, especially at highway speeds, I find that I have to raise the windshield at it's highest point to achieve the the desired evel of comfort. In so doing, I find myself looking through the windshield as opposed to looking over it, which I would much prefer. For this reason, I am considering an aftermarket windshield that would provide equivalent (or better) wind protection, while allowing for a lower setting whereby I can still look over it. After a bit of research, I am leaning toward the Bike-Quip Windshield. I like the looks, the recurve (which I assume will help with minimizing the amount of rise), and the size. I would love to hear suggestions and comments from anyone who has had experience with the Bike-Quip or any other quality windshield that will achieve the results I am seeking------Good protection while being able to look over the windshield. For the record, I am 5' 9"

I have no experience with the ST1300 but experience from a number of other motorcycles with a windshield and I, as you will see above the windshield and not above. I am 181 cm tall and my experience is that it is not only height that determines, I had ridden a motorcycle for a while and I was very happy with the windshield. I bought a new jacket and pants with more padding / safety over everything that became more voluminous, which changed my whole experience behind a windshield I had been happy with to useless.

I've had a Bike-Quip screen on my ST1300 for around 10 years, not sure if it's the same specs as their current screen. From memory, it's a about 1" wider each side, around 2" taller and has a very minor "curl" at the top. At highway speeds I have it adjusted so as I can see over the top, there's little wind at that height, comfortable for me a 5' 9".
Another positive mention for Bike-Quip here. I've had mine for about 10 years also. It's showing some crazing, but since I look over it, no problem. Although bugs seem to be attracted to it. 
I tried a V-stream once and didn't like it at all. I think Clearview has a similar type shield.

I had a Calsci windshield on my 1300. It offered marginally quieter air than the stock shield. It was wider and iirc, 2" taller than the OEM. I ordered it taller based on Calsci's suggestions on how to determine the size. I wanted to look through the shield, not over it, and this was the result. Calsci's quality dropped for a few years but on another website I recently learned that at least one guy is happy with their recent service and quality of a shield for an NC750.

@sirbike I live in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Not sure what shipping might cost. Another reason for seriously considering the Bike-Quip is that My niece lives in the UK and she might be visiting for Christmas.. Just FYI, shipping from the UK to Canada works out to be roughly $102 Canadian Dollars so that is quite hefty. If she doesn't make it for Christmas, I might be motivated to follow up with your screen. I will kepp that in mind. Thanks!!
I found the v-stream seemed to channel the wind right into my helmet. The Bike Quip seems to push it over the helmet. I can ride with the screen all the way down, but it is quieter if I put it part way up, but still see over it.
The Bike-Quip is quite a bit larger than the stock shield, and worked better for me. It's also thicker and heavier, and I found it could be a little sluggish to move at speed, so I changed the angle of the screen by making aluminium spacers that fit onto the mounting brackets. The lower edge sticks out a little further forwards and brings the top edge closer to the rider, as a result.
I don't have a template but this pic may help. If I recall, length between each pair of holes was a little under 80mm. (Grid is 10mm squares.)

Thank you to everyone for sharing their designs, I made a set of spacers from for my bike and they work great!
I made them from 1/8" aluminum and they are pretty easy to make yourself. I have attached a 1:1 scale dimensioned pdf to this post so you can print and trace the pattern to make them yourselves.
If anyone is interested in purchasing them, I can make a set for $25 with free USA shipping. They will be like the attached pics and painted black with pressed in M6 studs so you can use the nuts from the bike and also includes an extra set of M6 nuts needed...

My windshield was replaced with this aftermarket V stream version by the bike's prior owner. I am told it is wider than the Honda original perhaps taller as well.
I keep it adjusted so I look over the top of it but I can raise it high enough that it's 4 inches above my eye level if I want to protect my face from rain.

I replaced original windscreen with this aftermarket one. Replacement windscreen is thicker, wider & coated on both sides with anti stick coating. Bugs wash off with water & a soft towel. The windscreen is wider & reduces buffeting & wind noise considerably.
