Good morning, it’s ready!
Brand Kjeldsberg ( on sale for $3.50 per 250grams).

Yesterday the weatherpeople lured me to go out to sea, fishing.
Wind will calm down, they said.
The opposite happened, but I caught enough for dinner, pollock, mackerel and seith.

Wind from southeast gusting 56mph right now, heavy showers, 11…c/52f.

Let’s see what the day brings, hope it’s something good for y’all.

Thanks Stu, glad your boat ride will get you fed. No wind at the moment, everything has left the Gulf and blew on up north, or somewhere else. It's still too cool in the morning, but warming to upper 80s today. Meaning wearing extra clothes riding to work, then find somewhere to put 'em for the ride home.
No, I'm not complaining ... just explaining.
Clear out and still very dark, and I can see the Big Dipper, and a few other constellations. I think one is Orion, but i was never a star man because my eyes aren't that good, and most of my adult life I've lived around too much light noise, with a few exceptions.
On the farm as a youngster, where the country actually went dark at night, years later on maneuvering watch as lookout at the surface, on the bridge (conning tower) of our sub in the middle of nowhere out on the sea.
My most spectacular accidental stargazing was after a ride to Hachita, New Mexico (population 27) 15 years ago. Twelve miles from the Mexican border way out in the desert, no lights on, and when I looked to the heavens it was a literal blanket of white stars spread out against a deep black sky.
I swear God could not have poked one more itty-bitty little star in that picture. It was one of the most amazing natural light scenes I've ever witnessed, and that picture will last forever in my mind.
Funny where the mind takes you, sometimes. One glance at a suburban night sky, and I went all starry-eyed on y'all.
That was unexpected.
Is this something old people do, thinking back on memories from long ago?
Nah, I would rather chalk it up to living a life full of memorable and remarkable events.
Well, after that nice little mind trip, I find my coffee cup is empty.

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Stu.

Brought the cage this morning. used the remote start to clear the frost on it. Currently 1C and dark, headed to 7 and rain sometime...
at least it's not snow.

Yes, I said it. It's a reality one needs to come to grips with. Sort of like taxes.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Kjeldsberg Stu. I hadn't thought of JLS in ages and ages, but recall reading that and Watership Down in my youth.

It's 54°F and clear in Rockville, where visible stars are few and far between most nights. I'd love to live or even just be somewhere where the Milky Way is as radiantly visible as @Sadlsor described. My brother does, and often ventures out into the desert to indulge his hobby of astrophotography. He's shared many images with me over the years and they're spectacular. Here's one example:

Those bright areas are stars in the Milky Way, not clouds.

Our local star will heat the air to a pleasantly warm 82 later today, while obscuring views of anywhere else by flooding us with light.

I think the washing machine is less odoriferous than it was yesterday. We'll see, presently, what Mrs. Fun thinks; her sense of smell is far keener than mine.

Goof today, then virtual card games with old friends this evening.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.

It's been raining overnight, but right now it's cloudy and 53. It'll rise to 62, later and we'll remain cloudy with a chance of a rain shower or so.

I spent yesterday indoors, and the cough doesn't seem to be getting better.
This whole weekend looked something like this:

Today might be the same.
Gym visit is on today's list, though.

Have a great day,
Steve

Gmornin' from SoMD! It's a cool 55F/13C here as I sit, sip, and ponder the mysteries of our existence in this vast universe...oops, I'm getting starry-eyed too! Thanks, Stu!

It was a late night rehearsal last night and the rest of this week is expected to be more the same. But all the lights work and better than they have in that place. AND I found that offending bit of fuse to keep as my trophy. TRIUMPH!

Other than that, just boring work here. At least it's a short week which means I'll be a day off in my head. Take care y'all!

Morning all! Grey and chilly here with the possibility of rain on the way. 11C now, with a "high" of 13C to come.

Managed to get some more paint on the house, deliberately, this past weekend as the weather was stellar. Still a fair bit to go but it's coming along.

Must dash for a meeting.

Hope everyone has a great day!

You JUST HAD TO SAY IT, didn't you?

And to think, WeSTOC 30 started one month ago today... :well1:

Morning Stu & All (Except Obo), from a wet, was white & cold day in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 39F, up from 33F, and heading for a high of 46F! No breeze, but later, with more rain (0.5"-since yesterday) the winds will be out of the NNW @ 10 to 13mph.

Yesterday, I went out and covered/fixed, my water connections. I zipped tied some plastic silver installation over and around my exposed water lines. Now I'm glad I did.

Today, at this point nothing really planned, except we'll go get some eggs.

Speaking of eggs (breakfast), with bacon, toast, OJ & Lemon Tea. Pepsis in the cooler for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
