Wise Sayings...or Not

Enjoy...

If your husband or partner spends his weekends out in the garage, covered in grease and hunched over some old engine or a rusted-out bike... don’t give him a hard time. Don't nag.
At least you know exactly where he is.
He’s not out looking for trouble, he’s not closing down a dive bar, and he hasn't vanished into thin air.
He’s right there—at home.
Go out there and see him.
Lean into that smell of gasoline and motor oil that he loves so much.
Ask him how the "piece of junk" is coming along—you know, the one he proudly calls his "project".
Bring him a coffee, a cold beer, or whatever he’s into.
Tell him you can see the progress, and that you love the spark in his eyes when he talks about it.
Because tucked away between the rusty parts, the wrenches, and the shop rags, he’s finding his confidence.
That garage is where he finds his peace, his flow, and his sense of purpose.
You have a man who isn't trying to escape his life; he’s a dreamer.
And deep down, he wants you to dream right alongside him.
There will come a day when he’ll swing that door open, look at you, and say:
"Hop on. We’re going wherever you want to go."
So, don't hold him back. Be his biggest fan. Believe in his vision.
And while he’s turning wrenches, don’t forget to keep your own momentum going.
Keep moving forward with your own passions.
Because life doesn’t idle.
It’s meant to be driven.

It could describe today...
It describes most times. Despite all the whining, we live in one of if not the most amazing times in all of human history. All but the very poorest of us live lives that kings could never have even dreamed of.

I think the reason the scroll generation is always in tragic mode is because A. They're always online in their echo chambers egging each other on, B. If anyone tells them something that doesn't fit with this view they scroll past and C. They have no real perspective. Free markets have lifted more people from poverty than any other factor in history. Where they fail, almost universally, you don't have to look far to see a government interfering. Left alone, they are a positive sum game.

People who advocate for socialism, live in the same fallacy as people who fantasize about living in zombie or other apocalypses. They assume they'll be the dashing survivor at the top, when in fact they'll be one of the thousands of zombies that get shot in the head without a thought.
