Wise Sayings...or Not

"No plan of operations reaches with any certainty beyond the first encounter with the enemy's main force." - Helmuth von Moltke the Elder

Often paraphrased as "No plan survives contact with the enemy."
Often mistakenly attributed to Sun Tzu

"This time old Helmuth von Moltke can kiss my ass." - Jack Reacher (fictional character created by Lee Child)

Where is the ❤️ reaction icon when you need it...

Another "favorite" are those 'contactless payment via smartphone'-bohemians...
Takes them about 3 times as long, as me handing over a bill and getting my change...

And then, "the freestyle" (egocentric ignorance at its best):
blocking the chute at the end of the conveyor for like an eternity...
while calmly, totally phlegmatic and carefully stowing each single item of their loot into the like
3 shopping bags (plus digging for a 4th in their purse) before feeling even bothered to pay the cashier...
There huge tables provided as packing station!!!

“Once I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: "No good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

“Be you wise and never sad,
You will get your lovely lad.
Never serious be, nor true,
And your wish will come to you--
And if that makes you happy, kid,
You'll be the first it ever did.”
― Dorothy Parker
