You're invited to come and see why New Brunswick, and the Bay of Fundy, is such a marvelous area to visit and explore! Those who experienced the 2025 version, had an interesting time, and will be back! Planning is working well, but wouldn't be the same without the leadership of the illustrious Obo, who knows his way around far better than I.
If there's enough interest, it might be possible to extend the event by a day, the idea being to end up at a different overnight venue in Nova Scotia Saturday night. Then ride part of that province on Sunday, returning to St. John via the ferry from Digby. I'll have to see what Obo thinks...

If folks wanted to add a NS bay side run, it might be better to do that outside of WoodSToc.

I can suggest some NS scenic routes if so. The attached rough idea gpx from Moncton NB to Digby NS is just over 10h / 700km / 430miles without stops! (Thus the 2-3 days if you want to see anything not just in passing....)

One of our stops in 2025 was at "Los Cabos", a small wood products manufacturer where they make drumsticks. It happens I subscribe to a Maritime publication - "Atlantic Forestry". The current issue has an article, "keeping the beat", which describes the process of turning out world class drumsticks. The story had me remembering our visit, and appreciating what can be done with a small business. I still have my little key chain drumstick, I suppose some of you who were there have one as well!

I broke the bad news to Catcher yesterday, but it's looking like I won't be able to make this year's event.

Hopefully, that will help increase the attendance. :rofl1:

Bad news indeed, when the star of the show succumbs to workaholicism, sigh...
However. The show must go on, and it will. Info regarding a "new improved" format is just around the corner, coming soon!

Been thinking - dangerous, I know. This year, I'm offering some free accommodation for part of the event. As many of you know, I have an extra house operating as an air b&b. It has three bedrooms, as well as a garage with room for motorcycles. Since most folks will be looking at traveling a significant distance to attend, the location of this house (in Woodstock) will shave about an hour off the travel time to River Run. So the arrival/ start time will be Monday, August 10. There'll be a planned ride on Tuesday, with a second night in the same house. The ride Wednesday will end up at River Run.http://riverrunresort.ca/ Thursday and Friday's rides will be in the area further south. Saturday will be about hitting the "go home" button, unless you'd like to further explore the fabulous part of Canada that is "The Maritimes", independently. So you'll be looking at three nights at River Run, with the usual fees. However, the first two nights in Woodstock will be free of charge. https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/7385137..._impression_id=p3_1672104737_sKxlcrscBlcHnVzX
So to be clear: Monday and Tuesday nights in Woodstock, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at River Run.
Btw, as usual, I promise good weather and fun rides with interesting stops!
Btw #2, don't concern yourself about the free house thing, it costs me nothing to offer it.
Btw #3, if you think you're beyond riding range to attend, talk to Uncle Phil! Or, fly to Fredericton airport, where I'll meet you with a bike to ride. Bring your own helmet! PM me for details.

Thanks for the new format @catcher!

Having 4 days now for the official event will certainly allow folks to see more of what New Brunswick has to offer without cramming it into three. That's 33% more riding time. Also, having 2 different overnight spots (Catcher's B&B and then River Run) certainly will aid in getting around and seeing more of the large varied expanse that is NB!

Free accommodations for the first 2 nights in Woodstock? That's more than super generous and certainly will be helpful for folks, as is the offer of a fly and ride package! Well done!

And who doesn't love the extra weekend time on the arrival and departure sides to get to and from your home, or to head onward to other locations in the Maritimes or Quebec. So many things to see and do here, regardless of what you fancy!

Catcher certainly has planned out for WoodSToc to be your FUN(dy) gateway event of 2026.

It certainly looks like this is going to be one for the history books!

Aye, even Scotty says it'll be worth the trek.

Yesterday,(March 5th) I happened to cross the Bay of Fundy by ferry, with my van. Needed/wanted to go pick up yet another motorcycle, so I did. What really impressed me, was a stretch of road on which I drove in Nova Scotia - up, down, and round and round! Methinks there'll be a further extension to WoodSTock this year, to accommodate a day trip using the ferry to get to the good stuff, riding joyfully for a few hours, then back on the boat to return to the Fredericton area. Breakfast going over, another meal on board returning. Alternatively, when in Nova Scotia, it would be feasible to continue to Cape Breton to experience the Cabot Trail. More to follow...

Well congrats on the new bike George, Patti will never get her car in the garage now! Looking forward to the big reveal (new bike ) and the new ideas for WoodSTock.

I've booked marked these dates. I'm riding down in late June to ride in PEI and NS... but returning in August (weather permitting) sounds like a great idea!
