2026 WoodSToc 4 - Aug 10-15, 2026 - Woodstock, NB

Thanks Obo, for all the encouragement, posts that are not to be ignored! So now everyone, let's have some alacrity, and join in! Making memories is something we at ST-Owners do well, let's continue... Yesterday, with a view toward setting up ride routes for the Tuesday and Wednesday rides, I popped into two places to see if tours might be offered. Success! Got a warm and welcoming reception at each! We have: Speerville Flour Mill https://www.speervilleflourmill.ca/ and Sabian Cymbals. https://sabian.com/ These will be incorporated into the ride routes in such a way as to provide a break, and provide some memories. The manager at the flour mill is amazing. Turns out his home is a five minute walk from mine, and - he has a motorcycle! Now if I can just get him to accompany us when we leave the mill... Also, at Sabian, yes, they'll happily give us a tour! More memories! The kind lass with whom I spoke, goes riding often with her husband - on an Indian motorcyle!
So let's go folks, swell the ranks!

I have to say that I'm tempted.
As I'm not willing to go into the USA these days, for reasons obvious to most I would assume, my N. American riding options are severely diminished to say the least.
I can only do so much of the Yukon and the N.W.T. and I need a reason to make the long drag over the prairies, hence my interest in the East Coast.
The severely limited route options E - W in Canada are a limiting factor and the Northern Ontario bugs are not to be forgotten, so it's not a simple matter, but I'll decide in the next weeks.

Riding from BC to NB would be epic! Or - fly and ride. You'd probably enjoy riding my VFR1200X DCT. Let me know...
Actually had a couple of hours in Woodstock on the way home from Nfd in '23, would like to spend more time there.
It's the thought of crossing Canada twice and not via the USA that is the issue, not the distance. Have to say that I certainly appreciate the offer of your bike, I'm also sure I'd enjoy it 😀, many thanks there, I'll mull that over as well.
My "handler" is considering flying in to QC or NB and meeting up with me. We'll see.

Andrew you are tempting me to come unfortunately our calendar won’t allow it. We attended a couple of years ago and had a good time. George does an excellent job of organizing the event.

Yourself and Cherie still busy living the chocolate good life Gerhard?
I'm still mulling it over, but the S.O. has never been to NB so that gives me more incentive.

We are still working and generally in good health.
Last Labour-Dayi suffered from nerve damage to my left leg that affected my mobility. For a long time it seemed that things weren’t getting better. Last couple of visits to the physio clinic they said my left leg has improving muscle tone and and a measurable improvement in range of motion. 4 months ago I thought my motorcycle riding days were done but now I am optimistic that next spring I will be able to.

This old age can be no fun guys, I'm sure many of you would agree with me. Takes longer to mend and more stuff keeps failing !
After a really big off in '24 i found that not all physiotherapists and specialists are on the same level. Was not happy with the guys i had initially but after visiting a few alternatives i luckily found people who helped.
Anyway, good to hear from Gerhard and I see Phil in the mix - now he has health stories to tell!

At River Run Resort, Dena can be reached via her cell (506-461-8582) when you're ready to reserve a cabin. Just mention, "George's motorcycle group" so she knows that one of the cabins being held is what you want. Timing: August 12 to 14, checking out 15th. The earlier part of the event: free accommodation at 103 Orange St, Woodstock, NB. for the nights of August 10 and 11. This is a 3 bedroom house operating as an air b&b, but since I own it, there's no charge!
Let's go!

Good stuff, Bruce! Fact is, the best ST events are those where some wives are present. So I'm thinking there must be someone lurking here on the site, who's perhaps sitting on the fence. Consider this a friendly nudge, come join us!

Getter done, my friend! Fly into Fredericton, I'll pick you both up at the airport. Ideally, August 10, if not too late in the day. 9th could work too. Bring your helmets! The VFR will be gassed up and waiting for you at the b&b house. PM me with any questions...
