Your Favorite Motorcycle song while you ride?

There's so much music I like that it's not possible for me to pick a favorite...
I'd agree... (got an iPod aboard, half full with my riding tunes selection...)
It also depends on what experience or situation you'd associate a particular track or song with...

Scotland, rolling across the Isle of Skye right into a thick fog-bank, dim, diffuse, spooky... you'd expect something like a Bánánach jumping you at any moment..
and right in that mindset the mystic intro of Roxy Music's Take A Chance With Me chimes up in the headset... perfect timing... a scene burned into memory...

Walking through in the silent darkness of the sub-level garage, you put the key in, adjust the choke, start the engine, systems come alive...
spooky voices mumble while you're putting your gloves on, low-tuned chelli rumble, ghostly giggling, a beat fades in while you roll up the exit...
you pull out the automatic door and in that very second the glaring sunlight hits you: BAOO-BAO-BABAOO!!... the guitar of Queen's Fried Chicken... ;)

Okay, so on one occasion, some years ago, whilst riding my CX500 up the A9 in Scotland, the scenery was stunning, the sun was shining in a clear blue sky and snow was still present on the mountains....

I was so in awe of the majesty of it all I sang the hymn "Oh Lord my God when I in awesome wonder, consider all the works thy hand has made".....

Not for the last time either....

Just sayin'.....

My absolute favourite riding song is “End of the Line” by the Travelling Wilburys. Check it out - it’s perfect for riders of “a certain age” - like most of us.

…and while I’m at it, please allow me to add my favourite biker video (it’s short). This is called “The Dream Rangers” and it is actually a commercial for a bank in Taiwan. It is based on 5 or 6 real people who rode around that island nation at an elderly age. While I don’t speak Mandarin (there are subtitles), the message resonates all the way through my soul. Frankly, when I am feeling low, I watch this little video, and I feel better. Check it out!

I don’t have any music system in my helmet or on my bike, but I imagine— just through my own memory —certain songs that seem appropriate to the road or traffic conditions or the scenery that I’m looking at.

When I see some nice scenery out in the country, it’s often John Denver’s
“Take me home, country roads.”

When I start riding before dawn, and then I see the sun come up, I replay, in my head, Cat Stevens’ “Morning has Broken.”

When I’m approaching a hotel or motel where I will be staying for the night, my mind starts playing The Eagles hit “Hotel California.”
