That is just west of Leavenworth along the river. Another great spot and road. Lots of cops though.
Stop at the candy store along the river. Best Peanut brittle ever!

Hope the smoke doesn’t get in the way of your travels today. Wishing you (not your tent) smooth sailing today.
No smoke at all. There are strict campfire rules and the rain probably damped down a lot. Got stuck in wicked bad gridlock in seattle yesterday. I was ticked! So, i grabbed a no tell motel and charged everything, showered and shaved, and am ready for today.
Im just outside of olympia and headed toward shelton where 101 begins. Should b a nice day for a little spin!

Im on 101 north. Olympia mountain is a beautiful sight! Will be forwarding pics of her asap.
Im freezing my ass off here. The air is cold and extremely damp, which penetrates everything. So, i stop and warm up. No big hurry. My only real concern is camping, and i have a prety good app for that.
Im heading, from here to the redwoods in cali. Ive never seen the pacific or trees like that. My only real committment is babysitting in colorado sept 15, so ill prob get there around the 7th. My kids make a killah margarita!
Im putzing at the speed limit. Way too much to see and way too many critters.
Pics coming soon!

Be sure and hit the Avenue of the Giants off highway 1 if you go that far south.
Also, if you venture into San Francisco, from the north there is a road off 1/101 that will take up the ridge a bit for a great shot of the Golden Gate Bridge (if it's not fogged in).
An exit or 2 before -

The exit (442 - Alexander Ave - but head up the hill) you want -
