I have no idea! I tend toward the less populated places. I live on the fourteenth floor, so everything here is a total gas!
Maybe that one went over your head. Eagles song, "Take it easy", has a line about standing on the corner in Winslow, AZ..... Been there, stood on the corner. Already had the girl with me though.

a month left? could cover a lot of ground in a month, might even cross paths with that flatbed Ford traveling east of Winshow ..............
One never knows. Even tho im kind of strapped into a sort of varieable schedule, i still wake up and kind of change where im going. Its really hard to stick to a plan except i have to b in yucca for two days in a yuppy tee pee that my kids bought me. The rest is open game! This aint boston baby!

Warning warning ...after all that really nice stuff once you leave Pagosa Springs the rest of the ride will suck. Once I'm heading home the mood suddenly changes.

WOW!!! The south rim in the morning! Little traffic, no shortage of turns and illegal places to pass, smooth roads and the views! Im so happy i came here, but as i was leaving for flagstaff, the line to get in was a half mile long. Mornings are the bomb tho! Back in 2016, I rode my VFR from West to East, and the Grand Canyon was a hoot.
The scenery was magnificent, and as you found out, the road along the South Rim was a great ride.
I got my National Park pass at the Grand Canyon entrance. I think the price has risen from the $10 I paid, but still a great deal, if you haven't gotten one yet.

Regards,
Steve

Its $30 now. I have a senior disabled pass so its free, as was the pass. It was worth the $30 tho!

Saw my first cactus today. Pretty cool!
Im beat. Was up late last night w my tent neighbor.
Will b in joshua tree tomorrow and a check in at the yuppy tee pee. 789CCE2B-8FCD-45B4-A237-7B5EB00E4823.jpeg025EE8E0-BBFB-478A-BB1C-01B0A1A08FF9.jpeg9C39C077-740B-44E7-B9C1-0C25A06901E8.jpeg

I saw hundreds of them coming into town. They can get pretty tall!
maybe I didn't understand your route, they're typically in lower elevations in the southern half of the state, and Williams is at almost 7,000ft in the northern part. Did you ride south into lower elevations (below 4,000ft) and then double-back into Williams? Or maybe by 'into town' you aren't referring to Williams, since that was the last photo I assumed you stopped there, but maybe not. I guess you went through Williams and then south on 89A, so where are you now?
