It was great having breakfast with you this morning, Pop-Pop!

Met at (where else?) the iconic Pop's Restaurant on RT 66, and let our twin ST's rest while we ate.

Safe journeys, and perhaps we can meet up again for some ribs in Wellston on your way back through the Sooner State!
Good to meet you! No shortage of good guys and i thank you! The best colored bike out there, by the way!

Is the bottom of your left mirror messed up or do you have something on there? Just noticed from the last great pic of the two Reds. That must have been a fun breakfast.

I don't know how anyone could ever sleep at the busiest intersection in Pampa free or not.

And Lake Mclellan is at exit 128 right on I-40 (RT66). 2 miles north and $3 for a night out on the open mesa land.

Yea, forgot i had a clutch and dumped in monument valley a year ago it is cracked, but, luckilly it still works.
It was a very nice breakfast. I enjoy getting to know others.
Im in foss (Oklahoma) state park for the night. $19. Not bad! Tomorrow might suck as ill be in the midwest flatlands. Ill b looking for water which is where the state parks usually are. I estimate ill b near tucumcary and really dont see much there. But, if i have to, ill sleep behind a church or a fire station. Anything with a tree i can hide under.
Anybody know any spots there?

Be sure to see the old gas station in Shamrock texas.

I used to live 80 miles from Tucumcari. Truthfully it's just a bit on to Santa Rosa state park just North of SR. The lakes are likely mostly dry.

In Tucumcari interesting old store to visit. It looks like the BBQ prices have really rose but it used to be good stuff.

Thank you! I’ve lost count on how many times i’ve had to do another 60-80. I’ll look it up!

So, i pulled odd rt 66. Rt 40 is forever and too hot. So, im heading to the colorado hills to see the kids and see if i can get a ride on evans. Ill finish 66 later this month when it has cooled. Things are pretty good but i need some cooler air. I found some non eth in tucumcari and had a ball on my way to vegas. I sort of forgot about fuel efficiency and burned ther the $10 in eth pretty quick! Man! Was that fun! Im discovering the avon spirits love the corners. Seems the bike wants to lean a bit more.
This is my $8 campsite just outside of vegas. Not too bad! Seems im having much better luck finding camps this tour!

Spent the night shacking up w my red! Boy, am i tired! Its 52 deg, and california is gonna b over 100 deg. I think i made the right decision to head for the colorado hills. I have plenty of time, money and rubber. Discovered my ambers and low beams dont work, so i have a small emergency here. High beams work, so i suspect the fuse is fine and, hopefully, a easy fix at the shop. Im packing now for a sunup leave and will work out the repair asap. I love having my ambers a lot. They show well in rear view mirrors. Gonna see the kids today and cant wait. About 225 mi away
