1 or 2 bars when running in mid 30's to 40's

Thanks. I know Tom & Chris the parts guy. I kinda miss read your post as far as Xing goes? I believe U were refering to the TB synchroniznation. Don't know of any shop in area that has the ECM test harness or the computer program to read & change the engine spark Xing.I buy my parts through Scotts Powersports. Hope to meet up with U soon.
The shop is http://www.scottpowersports.com/ Ask for Tom the Service Manager. He was very helpful even calling Honda who gave the standard reply (as long as it's not overheating it's within spec). Tom did an amazing job.

Wow, a 2003 still on extended warranty. When does the warranty expire on your bike.

I don't see how it could still be under warranty I have an 03 it had 3 years of factory warranty and four years of extended I have been out of warranty for 3 years.

Low side of 172 degrees TT, 192 for the new stat oem. both temps will read 3 bars. (ok through in a 7&& now and than.) kidding on that part. I wish I would have kept the oem that came with the bike when it ent bad. new repacement honda stat is built all together different. weight wise, wax sensor area.
look at the damage of the TT stat not even 3 years. still on work bench. Peak antifreeze, now running with Prestone 50/50 premix.
And how many bars do you prefer, not counting the beer ones?

Would love to meet sometime. I usually get up to New Hope then ride Rt 32 and 611 to Easton. As for the engine work details- my tech IQ just can't keep up. I know it didn't seem to make sense why the misfiring would affect temp readings but no other fix worked.

Glad it worked out. RTE in February. check out pa area on this site.

Just for the record...I managed to keep a full 3 bars on a 20 mile ride- 10 out, 10 back- which started at -13f and was -9 at the 10 mile mark, and back to -13. Amazing how well a good t-stat performs.
