Ok,,, with the wide diverse group we have here we should have some REALLY interesting finds!!! Lets Hear Them!!!

I will start off with my Top 10 list...

# 1 ~~~ Played Softball and went to movies with Larry Bird... Indiana State was just 30 miles away and Bird and I were about the same age...

# 2 ~~~ Was backstage during 2 different "Farm Aid" shows... I talked to Elton John about what it was like on a real family farm... He later came back and sang just as Ryan White was dieing of Aids that night and dedicated the song to him...

# 3 ~~~ Was at Austin city limits when Stevie Ray Vaughan played his final show there... Also 1 night in a small club downtown where I was able to talk to him... I had tickets to see him play at Alpine Valley his last show but was unable to get away from the farm to see him... I get sad,,, every time I know he is gone... :(

# 4 ~~~ Was friends with Todd Worrell a relief pitcher for the Cardinals and he got us in to set on the bench before games and hang around the batting cage... THAT,,, will spoil you BIG TIME!!!

# 5 ~~~ Have rode around the Indy Track in the Corvette pace car 2 different years,,, and because of getting in the "Mother of All" traffic jams this year on Carberation Day I missed chance # 3...

# 6 ~~~ I HAVE,,, Kissed,,, Danica Patrick!!! The first woman to lead the Indy 500... :D

# 7 ~~~ I was interviewed by Biff Henderson down in the pits for the Letterman show at Indy a few years ago but,,, as god as my witness,,, it was scrapped because I made Biff laugh to much...

# 8 ~~~ I have rode over 1,000 miles on a Motorcycle,,, in 24 hours or less (((Edit 12 times now))) AND,,, 5 times I had no idea/thought/reason/need/clue I was going that far,,, in that amount of time when I left...

# 9 ~~~ I have rode a motorcycle,,, crashed,,, and entered the inside of a Cadillac through the Back Window which was going the same direction as me after a Packer game,,, and walked away,,, unhurt...

# 10 ~~~ Ate a Large Chicago Style Gino's East Deep Dish Pizza with extra sauce and the sausage patty,,, by my self,,, in less than 45 minutes!!! 3 DIFFERENT TIMES!!!

:::::this is why austin only has 2 weeks to live:::::

1) Wife went into labor-- skipped the contraction stage and went right into the birthing part-- in the bathtub at home around midnight. Had to deliver our daughter with 911 operator on the other end of the phone before paramedics arrived. While they were writing the report afterwards, I hyperventilated and passed out.

2) Met the actual Maria Von Trapp (Sound of Music). I was skiing in Vermont and went into a restaurant that she ran. Amazing-- who doesn't know the story of the Von Trapps escape from Nazi Germany (singing those corny songs the whole way) ???? My theory is the Nazis let the Von Trapps go on purpose just so they would not have to put up with their singing. :p: Very charming woman though.

3) Won a radio contest to meet George Thorogood (I know, big deal) and party with him and a bunch of groupies back stage. Highlight of the entire trip was in the back of the limo and having some amorous interaction with the drummer's daughter (but then again who didn't) :D

4) Performed the most flawless 40 foot burnout in my Mustang (complete with smoke ala John Force, etc.)--- right in front of the local sheriff. Let me go with a warning !!

5) Caught 2 foul balls at Veterans Stadium--- Phillies/Mets-- in the same game, in the same inning !! :)

Well compared to others on this Forum?.
1. I was born, raised and still live in Australia

2. I married my childhood sweetheart (who is also the world?s best pillion) in London

3. I have done 1,077 skydives (some at Perris Valley, out of LA)

4. When my sister and I travelled the USA and Canada in 1983, we stayed in Washington DC at the home of our Aunt?s friend. The Aunt?s friend was away at the time, but her border was home. The border worked in the photographic section of the White House at the time and she arranged to take us on a personal guided tour of parts of the White House while the Reagan?s were out of town. We had to hand over our passports and cameras at the front gate, so we were given 8?x10? colour photos off the shelves of the storeroom. These included various shots of Ronnie, Nancy and the family, the inauguration and the royal visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Our evening tour included a look in the door of the Oval Office while a large guard stood looking over us. Amazing d?cor in that place! I guess this will never be possible again.

Some random events in cronological order...
* as a Teen I dove off a 15' cliff at a local water filled quarry ( 20' deep) and brought up a handful of pebbles to prove I touched bottom, and came up with a commemorative Mexican Silver dollar from the 1964 Olympics. I still have it.
* 1980 I drove 1600 miles from Key West home to Milwaukee on my CX 500 Honda "non-stop" in 30 hours. Note the speed limit was 55 back then.
* In my mid 20's tried skydiving. The first 5 times I ever went up in any airplane, I jumped out.
*Around 30, I met Ted Nugent at a sport show as he was selling apparel and autographs. I was such an obnoxious drunk that he not only called me a "worthless whore" but wrote that on my cap. I saved that also.
* As I have matured, I have become "boring" according to my kids, but find myself in a very select group of ST riders, who together I ride alone with.

HAH!

I had a MOONBURGER!!

I asked a waitress in Olney Illinois if Fried Squirrel was on the menu...

Got drunk with a bunch of Oakland chapter Hells Angels while
watching a concert at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Visited the Christian Brothers Winery in Napa so many times
that they knew us by name, and took us stright to the tasting
room rather than the tour.

Filled up a fountain in Germany with Wisk Laundry detergent..
(Man, I never saw so many soap suds in my entire life)

Putt...

3). In 1970, drove non-stop from Sussex Wis. to Seattle in an ugly VW., all 2001 miles.
4). Bumped into Billy Martin walking by himself in downtown Seattle.

Shook hands with Mike Tyson at a mutual friend's house a few months ago.

Rode my bicycle around the perimeter of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx for a total of 117 miles. I've done this four times in four years.

Ate pizza with Alec Baldwin, who sat down next to me at a restaurant in New York City.

Met radio personality Howard Stern many years ago before I listened to his show.

Gave Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits) a ride from his hotel to a concert that he was performing in our town.

Ok...my life stinks compared to some of you guys. I never met anyone famous.

Here's my list:

1) Back when I was a kid I rode my unicycle everywhere I went. I could juggle and ride the unicycle at the same time. with a little practice I might still could do it.

2) Back in 1985 I won the Meriden, CT. computer programming contest. Back when the only language taught was Basic. Computers were a new idea back then. After that I moved on to pascal, cobal, and eventually a little Visual Basic. Never really when anywhere with it.

3) Rubiks Cube.....I love to do the Rubik's Cube as a kid. I solved it in 1 minute 17 seconds once. I can still do it, but not as fast.

See I told ya....my life stinks in comparison.

Yeah well I'd rather be able to solve a Rubik's cube than have met the Stray Cats :) I never did get one solved, not once.

Wow, you folks are hard to follow. I only have a couple I can think of.

Just last week I was golfing with my father and on a par 5, 505 yd. hole I shot an eagle. The great part was that the 3rd shot was from about 160 yd out and sunk it.

Saw the Beatles at Olympia stadium in Detroit on 8/13/1966. That was quite an experience.

Free dive to 90' and get bottom time.

Have visited about every major Mayan Ruin in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. Started following "La Routa Maya" about 15 years ago. It's became a hobby.

Mr Pheer said:
1. Took part in the biggest helicopter raid since Vietnam, flying off of the USS Roosevelt to assault the airport in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Of course, they all ran before we got there.

2. Laid down covering fire and assisted in the rescue of some Rangers in Mogadishu, Somalia. Survived, luckily.

3. Drove a truckload of food up the most dangerous mountain pass I've ever seen to an orphanage in Haiti, on Thanksgiving day. Then had to drive back down the same way

4. Got 14 medals in 7 years.
Wow. Happy belated Memorial Day :bow1:

Wow, my life really sucks also compared to some of these listings. Not a lot going on in rural Iowa, but here is a few.

1. Saw Led Zeppelin in late 70's.
2. 2nd in state of Arizona in foosball
3. Started an ISP from scratch
4. Told my friend I was going to marry the woman in a picture in a hospital newsletter even though I had never met her... I did it. It has been 20 years now.

3. Have met and shaken hands with 3 US Presidents(Bush, Clinton, Bush jr.) and numerous foreign prime ministers.
4. Today in fact, the motor unit I am in is escorting VP Cheney in the Seattle area. My job is very fun and I get to meet alot of people and if i'm lucky I get a pic with them.

I'm a lucky guy, life is good, but way too short.
