Well I am a little over due for a new rear tire. Wow, this is a first for me. I have never completely used a rear tire in one season. Though I typically only do 5K miles a year. This year I broke 10K earlier this week on the 1300 alone. Anyhow, I mounted this in June and now just shy of 6,000 miles it looks like I am due for replacement. It is really visible that I have a lot more wear on the left side of the tire than the right. I guess this explains what happened last week. It was raining out and I as I am making a left hand turn the back tire broke free mid corner. No biggie, it was slow speed and I just did a little drifting. I didn't really think too much of it because, hey it happens.
Now, what to get. I am debating between another BT023, PR2 or trying the BT020.
I do have my old PR2 that has a little life in it. I was considering putting it on today but I just looked at the forecast. 0% chance of rain until Friday. Then it is only a 10%. So I might keep running it until the replacement gets here.
I will say this much. I typically wear out the center of my tires. Though I have been riding more twisties lately.
