Yeah, I know it's still warm for most of us (it's still stupid hot here in Dallas at the end of September), but Montana just got a load of snow and it reminded me of this little game of ours. Like last year, just post the lowest temp you've ridden in for more than 15 miles (new requirement, figured I'd add a little more rigor to the game) for the 2019-2020 winter. Extra details would be nice, but not required, i.e. gear worn, where you went, etc. We're on the Honor system, so no windchill, no handicap and no participation trophies! Don't hesitate to correct me if I miss someone or make a mistake. I'll update this first post with the names and temps of the top 10, as they are generated.

41°, I'd like to feel that! They are expecting a high of 95° here in St. Louis today, a record setter they think.

Thanks for setting it up and keeping the track Paul.

Arrived at work in Redmond, WA at a chilly 37 degF yesterday. In September! Really? More like Christmas. I had my heated grips turned on medium. Way too early.

Zero degrees C (32 F) on May 22 on "highway" 49 just north of East Glacier. I was pretty scared because it was around 11 am, and with the recent snow (which had just been plowed) I was afraid it had "warmed up" to zero and that there might be ice on the road. Probably the only time on a motorbike that I was hopeful there would be sand and gravel on the road. I was pretty thankful for my electric jacket and ancient Widder electric gloves. Good times.

79 when I started my 250 mile ride today here in Oklahoma at 9:00. 91 when I got home. No heated gear required today. Will summer ever end this year? We are setting record high low temperatures here.

This thread is for this winter only, so May doesn't count.

You guys are making me suffer... the high today was *only* 91F (remember it's a dry heat!)...
The low was 65F... thank you for your concern... I put the down comforter on the bed so we're okay...

This is October right?
A cold front will be here in the morning. High of maybe 70. Too bad I’m back to work after 22 days off.
Calendar says it's October, but mother nature isn't acting like it.

On the ride home tonight I went from 90° (by the airbase in farmland) to 78° (coming off the Mississippi bluffs) to 89° in the downtown and then down to 82° as I exited from the heat island effect of the concrete jungle. That's 4 significant changes in 42 miles of a ride over relatively flat land. WEIRD!!! Because the storm front has yet to roll in.

Had -2°C or 28.4°F on the ST13 temp guage on a ride to Yea (an hour ride) about a month ago. If not for the Jett heated vest, Merino wool thermals and heated grips, it might have been uncomfortable. After a bowl of hot soup, a hot meat pie, a hot coffee and hot a log fire I was ready for the ride home.

I once rode my Goldwing through upper Montana in November. When I passed through Shelby,Montana ,it was -7 F. That was the coldest ride ever. I had to stop occasionally to warm my hands. I would just leave the bike idle while I tucked my gloves on the exhaust pipe. This would take awhile even though the bike had heated grips. If that wasn't enough, later on going through Glacier Park area there was about 2 inches of snow on the road. It was cold enough that it didn't turn out to be a problem.
