Thanks again Paul for taking care of this. Not bad ... a guy from the tropics running the Cold Ride Contest lol
I'm happy to do it... like to see what you really cold riders can do! I'm lucky if I get to ride below 20F, although I do love my heated gear!

Seems to have been a rather warm winter this time around judging by the coldest temperatures year over year.

Yeah, I know it's still warm for most of us (it's still stupid hot here in Dallas at the end of September), but Montana just got a load of snow and it reminded me of this little game of ours. Like last year, just post the lowest temp you've ridden in for more than 15 miles (new requirement, figured I'd add a little more rigor to the game) for the 2019-2020 winter. Extra details would be nice, but not required, i.e. gear worn, where you went, etc. We're on the Honor system, so no windchill, no handicap and no participation trophies! Don't hesitate to correct me if I miss someone or make a mistake. I'll update this first post with the names and temps of the top 10, as they are generated.

Quite the community of good people. Also enjoy the games, shows character and honesty which is hard to come by these days. Thank you for letting me in your community.
If past rides can be considered I gained new respect for all southern riders a few years back. Southern Oregon to Las Vegas 25 when I left home and 119 leaving Vegas and 122 in Baker, CA
Cusps to all you southern riders that withstand the extreme heat for hours on end. I was just short of I’ll when I rode in to Woodland Hills, CA at 113 degrees at 7:00 pm. Thank the Good Lord for AC.
P.S. coldest ride ever was -3 when we left and -11 when we got home. Longest 45 miles I think I ever rode. This winter’s been to snowy to get out much so I’m skunked.

Welcome to the group! Post up an introduction thread and let us know a little about yourself, if you like. Keep an eye on the Calendar and join us somewhere/sometime when this 'disruption' is over... we're all pretty locked down now and several of our events have already been cancelled.

Whoo, Hoo! After finishing 2nd for a few years, I finally broke through and pulled off the win! Thanks to Paul for running things. Thanks to all my sponsors and fans. See you next year.

Later,
Kent Larson in Minnesota (40°F ride in to work today with my "critical service" authorization letter in my pocket and handlebar heaters on "medium")

We had a really mild winter, and I dont remember any below zeros or I'd have ridden in them. Our single digit days were before the sun came up. Matter of fact I only missed riding 3 days to weather this winter and only used my ATV with snowblade to plow the drive once, and then rode that afternoon. Been a wet spring though.

Well , ol man winter just won't let go down here in Texas... I saw 37° on my way in this morning! I'm guessing Tipster saw some snow in MN.

You are correct Paul, 7 inches of snow here Sunday, so no riding for a few days.

Was a low of 23F here this morning. Officially 1.5 inches of snow but I can only be certain of 1/2 inch on the deck railing when I finally woke up late this morning.
I WAS thinking of riding to Pella (57 miles away) for some Dutch Letters pastries. But that is put off until this weekend... maybe. Expecting more snow tomorrow afternoon, more than this morning.

I don't think we are going to have a cold winter in my part of AUS. Went from a short ride yesterday (first decent ride since COVID travel restrictions were relaxed), lowest temp displayed of ST instrument panel was 6C.

Coldest ride winter 2021 - Southern Hemisphere.

Despite this AM radio reports of 3C in my area, given the extent of thick ice on cars parked out over night and creek crossing bridge decks, methinks it was more likely around 0C, or less.

I did feel the cold though, this was due to riding in light weight gear, not full winter gear when usually riding the ST1300, and this was because I was on the Giant ATX ....
