Sorry to hear of your bit of bad luck...but just think how much good luck you must have had to get out of that mess without further injury. Heal fast....I haven't met you yet, now I'll have to wait a little longer. Ride safe out there....Cheers from Duluth...

Oh Wow! Glad you're OK! I bet it was the tire.... Makes me want to go out and scrub in my new tires with some 80 grit sandpaper before NatSToc. Ouch! Heal well... :)

Patty,

Just thankful to hear you weren't more seriously hurt. From the sounds of things it could have been a lot worse. My guess is that new rubber was the culprit.

Glad to hear your up and walkin! I always look at the positive side and sounds like you were smart to have good gear which saved your body from more harm. Next best thing is to heal up and throw a leg back over and get back out there! Speedy recovery to you!

Glad ur OK. Hope others noticed that you rock ATGATT...could've been so much worse. I installed a PR2 and went for a ride a few weeks ago, after about 350 miles in sw LA.( no curves ) I took an off camber left from a stop sign and the rear kicked out. Being an old flattracker I didnt cut throttle, I trailbraked and rode it out. looked back and not even a little mark on the road. It was a part of the tire that hadn't scrubbed in yet, so I dont think miles have anything to do with scrubbing. Make sure you scrub at low speeds the part of the tire you will be using. Hope you heal quickly. Ted

good to hear your ok...feel better. bikes can be fixed easier/qiucker than the body.

ps; i usu scrub (scrubby) down my new tire to get the release material off...maybe in the lean you got to a unwiped area of new tire.

I did a similar thing on my old Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan. Slid off the road, low sided into a 4 foot ditch.
Bruised a bunch of ribs and a lot of road rash.

Glad you are ok, and will heal. Hopefully you will be back riding in a few weeks. Take care of yourself Patty.

Well that's no fun at all! Heal up fast so you can get back on the horse that threw ya. It's good that you're posting and I hope all will be well soon enough! Is it your picking shoulder or your chording shoulder? Play safe out there folks. Cheers Marty

I'm so glad you are ok Patty it was scary watching this unfold in front of us yesterday. As you can tell we made it safely home and all day long we saw guys and gals with no gear on. If only they knew what we knew from this weekend. You guys sounded great last night on the guitars so I know you were feeling a whole lot better. Take care.
