Wish I had a photo of (?) Ron ...forgot last name, whose BMW years ago was nicknamed The Spaceship, or The Enterprise, for his techno-laden cockpit. It's still out there, somewhere.


Rob Nye had the BMW , final drive went out during the rally.

That's why I couldn't come up with a last name.
It was ROB, not "Ron."

@Sadlsor Why not buy a small tablet that has a GPS chip? Link it to you phone and run your choice of navigation programs.

Or, get a map.

I sold my Navigator, got an XT, got a 3D printed in-between plate so I could use my BMW lockable mount. Done. I'm sure you know this, but you loose the wonder wheel capability. I don't miss it.

My iPad has a chip, but navigation on it sucks. You could get an antenna for it. They used to sell a plug in antenna, but now they are bluetooth only. They are used in aircraft navigation.
