Also, check the two big nuts that in inside the tailpiece that they are tight. Sometimes they will work loose.

Mine did. If I remember correctly (it was a while ago) I added lock washers and thread locker as well.

They break but weld easily. I used O/A for the one I fixed, but if my present bike ever breaks I'll add a plate to reinforce.

This is the Ukraine frame. It attaches under the seat as well as where the handholds were. Its a pretty good thing to have! I use it for touring and moving ladders around boston for paint jobs.

I think the question is not only in weight, but in arm - distance, where this weight is placed. As longer an arm, less weight is needed to damage rack.

I think welding plates to a new set before even installing them would be the way to go. Not every 1100 has that problem but its more than a few.

Mine broke a few years ago, at the end of the 2020, if I recall correctly.

It didn’t take long to pull it from the bike and even less time for my neighbour to weld it up and reinforce it.
