Hey, I'm looking for a fold-down/swing-down tongue stand for my little trailer.

I don't need or want a wheel or adjustability, as I want minimal tongue weight.

I'm looking for cheap, so used is fine. Something like one of these:

If you're look for cheap and light, make something. U bolt, bit of flat aluminum or steel plate, a hinge and some aluminum square or round tubing. When not "deployed down" hold it up with bungee cords.

Use whatever you've got laying around.

Right now I'm using a plastic tool box on end. but I'd rather not hinge it to the trailer.
So no hinge means removable?
Then make a pole with a U on the end for the frame to sit in and just jackstand it. When not required put the pole in the trailer?
Bit of 2x4 if you don't have any metal.

No, a hinge would be great. I meant I don't want to attach the toolbox to the trailer with a hinge.

The two stands I showed attach to the tongue, and you pull them out to swing them up or down.

with 10 bucks, some imagination and a hardware store is all you need. It's not like the trailer weights 1000 lbs.
Which is why I want something that won't add a lot of tongue weight.

I can't imagine finding outdoor-rated parts to make one for less cost.

U bolt a bicycle kick stand to the tongue
I'm hoping for something a bit more substantial than that.

I finally heard back from another vendor, who sells one of the two I posted above, also $39.

I think I prefer the vertical style over the angled style.

I can't imagine making a heavy one. " outdoor rated" where do you find that rating?
