I make a little bit of progress when I can get away from a major project that I have going.
That project is shutting my bicycle store down.
My sweetheart retired, sort of, this year. She is working part time doing what she enjoys now without the monumental time doing medical charts.
I am following suite.
I’ll shed the stress of the business while continuing to service my best customers. I figure it will be 1/3 to 1/2 half the pay working less hours at about 1/10 the stress.
I even bought a bicycle carrier for the ST.
A big life improvement is getting to spend more time together with her and our pack of dogs.
At this point time is more valuable than more money.
I might even ride my bicycle more. Definitely in fact.

Having been financially reamed during an earlier domestic contract, I never expected to be sitting pretty like this. No doubt that I worked hard to get here but my wife gets the lion’s share the credit. She has worked hard and smart.
I sort of had some pride issues about income disparity. Sweetie’s friends made it clear that I brought something far better than money into her life.
Thank goodness I was smart enough to graciously accept that it is all good.
So I have managed to get a few hours in the spa here and there.
slatwall for a tool board went in today. This slatwall has a finished wood veneer. Feels more cozy than the laminate.
The cabinets went up over six weeks an hour here an hour there.
Tool cabinets are moving in.
Our dogs seem to approve as long as I give them some attention first.
It was unexpected that I would close the store when the new building idea came up. This place is going to be well appointed.
It's not too late to frame in a doorway on one side so when you pour another pad that size right next to it you can can connect them...
We are thinking we should have made it bigger. Yep. I’ll still play it frugal but I did figure out that there is a doorway already framed out for a 24’ expansion if it is appropriate.
