I bought mine from bushtec. I might add it will only work on a bushtec. The bushtec uses a pin system that is welded onto the bar. This attaches on rear muffler bolts and front muffler bolts. There are a few others http://www.schoolhousemcacc.com/product_info.php/products_id/22

To clarify, the Bushtec hitch attaches to the the swingarm at four points. I have a Bushtec Turbo 2 with a new hitch for the new(ish) (to me) STeed hopefully being fabbed up this week by the good folks back in Tennessee.

Yes they are great at bushtec. The Hitch does not attach to the swing arm but thru the frame at the front and rear muffler attachement bolts(four Points). It is quite strong and fits the lines of the bike.

You will love the handling of your new bushtec. Had occasion to hit the twistys and open road and It handles quite well. Even loaded with all the things you really do not need.

So far I have been very pleased with it. I've only pulled it about 1200 miles, but it has worked above and beyond my expectations.

Carried my camping gear down I40 through the Smokies at 80+ in the rain and took 80 T-shirts to Moonshine in it, with my 11yr old daughter riding pillion and could barely notice it back there.

I have a few "details" to finish, like locks, carpet and a fender; but it has really worked out well. I have a write-up of the construction HERE.

And here is our Armoric Designs monowheel trailer. Got it up to about 100 mph two up in heavy rain, no sweat. I get a mild weave at 80 mph when overtaking semis if the windshield is full up. Same capacity as the unigo, for about half the price.

Custom made hidden hitch almost invisible when the trailer is not there.

I don't see why not. I tow one with the miss's on the back and I can tell you it takes very little effort from the st1300. As long as you keep your bike in good shape I see not reason why it would be a problem.

My 93 has 123K on it and pulls big ol' "I-lean" right on down the road as fast as SHAMBO will allow! :mcrider:

You do have to adjust your braking to compensate for the weight.

This is this hitch I used to have and what it was set up at the campsite. Haven't decided for my ST. I certainly will NOT be pulling this kind of camper with the ST, but the GW had no trouble at all with it.

For now, I pack a tent and haven't needed more storage than what I can put on the ST.
