Re: Replacement for the Honda ST1300 in 2014?
?
No. Just mentioning the MC disc is a more complex beast with more expensive material.

Hi, maybe your firewall is blocking it,but it's working ok for me,its the UK biketradrer website. vfr1200xI see a blank screen with the link.
I could be wrong but I think this has been done a few times already. The result is always the same, we all want everything at a cheap price.I know this is of no means (Honda doesn't read these forums ) But I would like to see a poll started listing improvements mentioned here and have us readers vote on it for a week.
FWIW, after the VFR1200F-DCT was introduced we had a thread that collected just this kind of information. Dinkie Diesel crunched the numbers and I wrote up a report and sent it to my contact at Honda. He reviewed it and sent it on to the powers that be in California and Japan. But I would like to see a poll started listing improvements mentioned here and have us readers vote on it for a week.
Yeah, it's all my fault.Your demands must have been too high...you scared them away completely!

I'm not clear. Are you saying you think adding accessories will void the warranty? I've never heard of someone denied warranty because they added accessories.I want at least the common accessories so I don't have to wait for the warranty to expire to add heated grips, top box, etc.

I live in New England...the Kawasaki dealer I bought my KLR from wouldn't even do the exhaust recall because I had a tall windshield. Yamaha dealer didn't want to warranty a seat on my snowmobile (common issue with water getting through to the cushion on 2003 RX-1s) because I had a heated shield plug installed. That one took a couple calls to Yamaha to get covered. I know about the Magnuson-Moss act...but apparently many dealers either haven't, or don't care. Yet another reason it will be nice when I'm out of this area. One of the reasons I specifically purchased a used ST was to avoid the warranty. I just ignored the warranty with my KLR and fixed everything myself.I'm not clear. Are you saying you think adding accessories will void the warranty? Wow! I've never experienced this! I've never had any issues with warranty with my own wring and in fact, one dealer asked me to walk him through how I wired an aux output so he wouldn't mess up the wires while disassembling the plastic.nhdiesel;1662277I said:have little use for dealers or warranties these days...and I've worked at a couple.
At the Chevy dealer I worked at, we had a standing order that if any aftermarket wiring was even remotely close to being in our way, cut it out and give it back to the customer. Happened a lot with aftermarket remote starters. Though those were usually the cause of no-starts.Wow! I've never experienced this! Interesting. That 'Strom takes a couple of design cues from the last two versions of the Multistrada. Nice-looking package, beaky as it is.I see the new v strom 1000 is nearly ready to be unveiled for next year, the new intruder 1500 looks good too.

October Motorcyclist has pictures of a prototype. Might be the angle of the photos, but the beak doesn't look as pronounced as on the concept.Interesting new VStrom concept! It's got a beak, it will be good.
