Ride For Cambodia?

Dace did most of the negotiating for four bikes. We settled on two Suzuki and two Honda scooters for $3050 with a promise to buy them back for $50 each less that the original sale price two weeks later. We are going with a good dose of faith without to much expectation of getting exactly what was promised.

The market was an experience for sure.

Meanwhile SPOT is back to NOT WORKING. Extremely annoying and, so far, a waste of money. I'm going to add my phone yo spotwalla and load tracks from it.

Guys,
Dean M is a friend of mine (in Oz). He rode my ST when he was over for the MotoGP at Phillip Is last October. He said he liked it so much that 'I'll probably get one when I'm your age too!' ..(you can remind him of that!)
Have a great ride,
Rich

All good in Phnom Penh. We'll post pics of the bikes tomorrow. Nothing really exciting. I know they won't make much off us at $50 per, but expect some re-negotiation on the return trip. :D

It appears my SPOT is working at least a little. I have two OKs and 3 track from today. Still spotty SPOT but maybe it'll work better when we're outside the concrete jungles into the real thing.

Here , the Tonle Sap River flows into the mighty Mekong as Joe, George and Dace dress up this shot.

Glad everyone is there and faring well! Looking forward to seeing the bikes in action! Be safe and enjoy!

Well, it didnt take long before I was stopped dead on the side of the road on my freshly aquired Honda Dream 125. Out of gas after two blocks.

Joe and I got our oil changed after we got separated from George and Raven. Two oil changes and put a nut on a dangling muffler bolt on Joes Honda Wave... $8.... $2 tip.

Did you bring an old sock to filter the gas with? I've heard scary stories about what can come out of drums in rural locations.

Spent most of the day at the moto shop.

Somehow, Danny and Joe lost us.

George and I made it about a mile and a half before running out of gas. Stopped by the mechanic around the corner and got oil changes and knobbies. George's scoot needed a chain and sprockets as well.

So, the adventure has begun and we are proud 'owners' of 2 suzuki and 2 honda scooters.

Yep. Even the 'big' scoots are knobbed!

Meanwhile we found a guy just across the street who is old school, even though he's fairly young at 33. Raced motocross and now does bike rentals for Westerners. $25 a day gets a dualsport in good shape.
