Hello,

gmast1100,thanks very much. All parts are ready for assembling.
I hope I could get holidays this week!!

ST1100Y, Yes,I made them on the filler cap in 3D CAD but it was too subtle even for this awesome 3D printer.

John, thanks for your interest. Of course, sharing this model with other ST owners is my hope.
Still 3D printing cost is so high, I'm searching the better way.

This is not plastic model as you know, so there is no easiness for assembling.
But if you'd be a skillful modeler, of course you can.
You also get genuine paint for real ST, and you can paint this miniature with it.
The real Sparkling Silver will appear :)

After completion,I'll reveal the all cost.
Please wait little more.

JRob,thank you very much.
I need to make some more small parts like side stand,Windscreen, speed meter....
And headlight lens need to be remade. 3D printed lens is not transparent enough, I will make it with another material so called UV resin.
But countdown continues :)

Miz, you only continue to amaze me. Fantastic. Can't wait to see finished one. Having had 4 1100's, they hold a place in my heart.

Thanks gmast1000! you had four STs! Goldwing is also fantastic!!

Still I'm making small detail.
I found that there are many cables around the handlebar...while seeing them,I became I can't ignore them. ;-)
Headlight lens is rather difficult to make.I'm using customised electric toothbrush as polisher machine.
Add to that,I found I have to make reflector inside the light unit...

Keep going...

Headlight lens is rather difficult to make.
For car models we sometimes use the edges of CD or Compact Cassette housings to mimic tail-light lenses
For headlights a piece of curtain fabric applied with transparent glue on the inside of the lens; some scale "hard-corers" even manage the typical H4 lens-cut with that...

I'm using customised electric toothbrush as polisher machine.
Of course, scale tools for a scale model, what else...

GreenZR,thanks for your comment. I'm searching the 3D print company to reduce cost.
Please wait further information.

Hi ST1100Y,thanks for your information. I'm interested in such method. Do you have any photo like that?
And what is "hard-corers"?

Hi all,
Finally I could take a breather...
Thank you very much for watching and cheering my struggle.I started this project last August.
Still there's some point to do more, but I'd like to put a period to my work once.

Scale 1/12
3D CAD by Fusion360
3D Printed by HD3500 MAX in Ultra High Definition mode
Material: acrylic resin
Printing pitch 0.029mm
Tire, wheel and handle grip are from TAMIYA's CBR1100xx Blackbird
Brake rotor:eek:riginal etching parts
Paint:Genuine color R101C-U

cost
3D printing $570-
Etching $100-
TAMIYA'S CBR $25-
Paint $50-

Labor fee.... devotion to ST1100

To guys who want to make this model;

I'm searching the best way sharing this model with you.It would be in a kit style,I think.
Also I'm searching the cheeper way for 3D print now.
Etching parts is for free.(I have some spare)

Please note that this is NOT TAMIYA's product.
Adequate modeling skill would be needed for completion ;-)

Thank you very much for all.

That is AMAZING! Gorgeous! You've got some crazy mad skillz there Miz. Absolutely beautiful work.

It was great fun watching you progress with this project and reading how you created solutions for the different parts.

I hope you let us follow you on your next project whether it's a ST1300 or a car or a boat or a pretzel even. Or an ST1300.

Very nice indeed!... Just amazing! Heck, maybe you could sell that to TAMIYA for reproduction although I'm certain their version would not be anywhere as detailed.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your kind comment.

Oldbikefixr, thank you very much!

JRob, Yes,I can put small helmet and rain suit in the pannier.
I could finish this project by your interest.

ST Gui,1/12 scale is nice size for detail. I'll try to turn on the lights in second model.
I also love ST1300 :)

Mellow, thank to your advice making thread here, I could made this.
Tamiya would be able to reduce the cost absolutely ;-)

ibike2havefun,I also want to see detailed ST1300 model.

gmast1100, I'm grateful for your words.

To reduce the total cost, I'll make it smaller to 1/18 scale.
Fortunately it is not so tough to scale down in CAD app.

Photo;
The sun light shows it more realistic :)
