I wish I could show you a picture of the WR250R I TRIED to buy yesterday.

What a difference a couple days makes.

2008 with 1600 miles. Didn't get it home until after dark, but still managed to tear up the yard.

We left via Guachochi which was a much better maintained road than the one to Urique. However, the ride from Urique to Batopilas may have been my favorite day ever on a motorcycle.

The "shortcut" from Urique to Batopilas and it was the worst day I ever had on a motorcycle. If you took the shortcut where we had to cross the Urique river (no bridge) my hats off to ya!! The pic is of my riding partners KLR a short distance after the river crossing and steeper than it looks.
George could prolly do it on the DRZ ,if and only if, I were a betting man.

There is a brand new bridge a few miles downriver from Urique right at that road and in a little pueblo. We were probably the first vehicles over it. It was a holiday so no one was working. We had to use a 2X6 to get down off the bridge. The road or "shortcut" is challenging but I like that. And the views!!! Well, you just have to experience them.

Here' is my 'new' 2008 WR250R. It's only got 5k miles on it and is fully set up for adventure type riding. It has a lowering kit, aftermarket exhaust, heated grips, Wolfman racks, bags & tank bag, a tailrack, aftermarket skid plate, oversized fuel tank, and a few other things. I'm looking forward to riding it in 2014!





2013 wasn't a big riding year for me due to a sciatic nerve issue. But I still got in 15k miles.

The second thing that came to mind was "On Any Sunday" and the desert racer who's dog rode on a bit of carpet stuck to the tank. "{The Dog} has claws like an eagle"

Good looking KLR delta st, how many miles on it? I've been farkling the KLR I bought last December quite a bit lately. I just bought a Seat Concepts seat and need to give it a ride today.
