Sold The ST Today

I think you left out the BMW and GoldWing guys, a few Connies, of course the other ST (Super Tenere) and who knows what else....we all ride for the fun of riding...and this is a great riding forum......ride well this season, and ride safe...........ff......BTW, the FJR is a sweet bike.....

No I didn't. I know guys here ride everything, the bikes you mentioned as well as Harleys, Indians, probably Buell's maybe even a Boss Hoss, as well as dirt bikes and probably trials. My point was that I've seen several guys say the same thing - they bought FJR's because Mother Honda is not updating our ST's, and only a very very few guys have said they are abandoning ST's for BMW's. In my mind, (maybe this does not reflect reality), Beemers are a notch above the ST's in cost, maintenance, and reliability. Connie's and FJR's are more like ST's (again my opinion only), other bikes such as GW's and the Super Tenere are, other bikes - touring oriented or adventure touring.
