Speaking of oil... anyone remember where it goes?

How much have you put in?

Yes, I was wanting to double check the level before adding the last little bit - worried more about overfilling. Why I am concerned is there is nothing showing with 3.7l in there, shouldn't something show in the indicator window? Mine looks completely empty.

Nevermind - noobie panic. I waited and checked again just now and the oil is showing properly at the top fill line.

The owner's manual has instructions to start the engine for a few minutes then shut off the engine and check the oil level glass. I can post the instructions if needed. It may be that the fresh oil didn't have time to drain down into the oil pan after you poured it in.

EDIT: Was the bike on the side or center stand? This might affect the reading, too.
