YES IF you are a masochist with perfect eyesight good tools and a good logical mechanical brain ( he he mindset) probably a ROBOT with a mechanical brain could overhaul the ABS Modulator Unit

DATA COLLECTING (newbie here BUT Ex ST1100 rider) what are the front tyre sizes non ABS and ABSII

ABSII - 120/70/18
Std - 110/80/18

Having said that, a 120 will work on the standard rim.
And you can replace the standard rim with an ABSII rim and not have any clearance issues (BTDT - all bolts holes match but you would need to put the std discs on the ABSII rim).
I ran one that way for thousands of miles.
I ended up changing my standard front end to a ABSII front end to get the better calipers.
