I'm a big believer in the law of diminishing returns, when appropriate. Draining hot is easy to do, gets out 95%++ of the old oil and the minimal remainder is inconsequential to long term engine life. Squeezing out the last few drops really adds nothing to the work done.If you want to be really anal about getting more out, there are a few ounces that sit in the valleys of the heads and that can be drained somewhat by leaning the bike to each side, while on the centre stand. My bike sits on carpet, so no fear of the stand sliding out on a cement floor and I can get about a 45 degree angle lean each way.
EDIT: OK maybe 60 degrees, now that I think about it.
On the other hand..........., I choose to spend more time than really necessary to keep the ST clean and the paintwork etc... shined up and in good shape because it's a feel good endeavor.
