Well I am having surgery today on my thumb. Looks like I will be out of the saddle for a few months. I broke a bone and tore a ligament in my right thumb. I go back in two weeks. At that time they will remove the stitches. Then I get a cast for four weeks. Oh what fun! I hope to be back in the saddle by this spring.

Not sure if it'll be fun; but, I'll bet you'll like how the thumb works after it's done!

Good luck and here's hoping you heal well and quickly!

Keith, I have about dozen replies ready and waiting. For now I'll just pass along my sympathy and hope all goes well. With any luck you won't miss the start of the riding season. Try not to put your eye out when you reach up to itch your nose.

That sucks. Heal up fast and completely.
I'd figure you'll be back in the saddle by spring.

I fell in the kitchen. I hit my hand on the counter top. I will be ready to ride before summer. I look foward to meeting you. Just to warn you, coop shows up at some of the RTE's. I hope you can handle the laughter

Well I'm getting ready to leave for surgery. Thanks for all the well wishes. Dinkie and Coop, please be nice while I'm unable to defend myself! Like that's going to happen.

Good luck and heal well my friend.

There isn't any reason you can't still come on the site and participate. Your thumb won't keep you from typing like you always do........with your index fingers.:crackup

Looks like Keith is in good hands! He has a left-over airline nip if the pain gets to be too bad.

Coop told me the whole story. I thought I should share since Keith is so modest. Keith was chasing the Mrs. around in the kitchen wearing only a pair of socks. Socks, a tile floor and a libido equals a broken thumb. Glad none of the other extremities were damaged. Way to go KP!
