Interesting to see a Jeep and a Corvette on the same page, in a sporting context. Years ago, when I spent money even more foolishly than I do now, I leased a new '85 Vette. Only had it for a couple of years, until the novelty wore off. Couldn't use it in winter, couldn't take the kids along, and '85 wasn't a particularly good year - only 230 HP! In '87, I bought a new Jeep YJ, much more fun! Year round 4-wheeling, top and doors off in summer, and enough of a trailer hitch to be able to tow the Donzi Z-25 on it's trailer. Kids even played on the roll bars in the driveway! Bottom line, short Jeeps are vastly more fun than "prestigious" sports cars, at least in my experience. Having said all that, nothing beats a stable of motorcycles, not even the current Miata parked in the garage. (it too, is in hibernation, sigh)
