I insulated my garage door earlier this year. I used the rigid foam. I have a refrigerator in the garage and when it gets cold the compressor won't run and the refrigerator gets hot. Counter intuitive, I know. It may work well enough where I can work on the bike this winter with only a space heater. We'll see.
Our garage door is double skinned metal with about 1-1.5" rigid urethane foam in between. The lights look good Joe, I guess those are more for your visibility to others rather than increased night vision for you?

It was either $26 for 2 pair of them or $26K for a new wing... hopefully, this will suffice.. lol
Nearly bit on a new DCT Tour 2019 last month for $22,124 OTD. LEDs included.

Still, you are way ahead with the DIY outfit.

I may be putting my Tracer up for sale soon... I'm not riding it at all given my new job and I don't foresee much riding for the next 3-5 years at this pace.. in which case the bike is just sitting there and taking up insurance payments. Once I get past this hump I may be moving to a goldwing.

What - are ya working seven days a week?
LOL.. close. Around here you just don't hop on the bike and go for a short ride, it ends up being min 1 hour of battling idiots just to get out of town.. Most of my riding has always been actual vacation trips only and not much on short rides. So, it's just sitting there sucking up bike and insurance pmts... lol

What next, wine, women, chocolate. What are you doing, going to a Shaolin Monastery with ritualistic initiations to become a monk. I guess self flaggellation is soon to come.

Goldwing? Sounds like you're aging way to fast. I'll be 68 next month, and I won't think about a GW for another ten years!

I'm only 48, and I just bought an 1800 Gold Wing. Just got back from a 2000-mile trip on it, too. Say what you will, but there are few better bikes on the market when you want to ride long distances and not feel beaten to death afterward.

+1.
Why I added a Gold Wing to the ST garage. And it's a way better two-up bike.

Why wait? New 'Wings are too good to ignore! Schedule at least one overnight excursion each month, and enjoy every minute. And I notice, unlike myself, you needn't be concerned about the dreaded snow!

I get it Mellow. If you're not getting enjoyment from riding it what's the point?
I had a 1978 CB750 until 2008 and there was nothing else I could think of doing on a garage queen that I hadn't already done. It had to go or be parked up. Enter the arena a CBF1000, touring Europe, and I was happy again. Same again with the "Stop Gap Pan" bought it to get to know our new area and continue to tour Europe, whilst we're doing that it'll stay but as soon as it gets parked up it'll be gone; I think.
