Vista Cruise Question???

So I tried to buy a Vista Cruise from my local bike shop and when she rang it up her computer said that it would not work on any bike newer than 1990.

That does not sound right to me.

My question is which vista cruise do I use? There seems to be two different ones, a universal one and one for older Hondas and Kaws.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered this one... and it works well.... however it has to be modified (sanded down a bit etc) per instructions somewhere on this site... let me know if you can't find them & I'll help look.

I used the Honda dual cable version and cut off most of the lip on the bottom (the part designed to go between the cables). Screwed the tab into the switch housing. There's a thread somwhere on this forum with detailed instructions.

do a search with the keywords "vistacruise" and "flawless" and you'll find my install. They don't make one for the ST that doesn't have to be modified.

Jasen, the universal does not fit on the ST..... I used the 168 from http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=VIST but as the guys are saying, you have to modify it slightly.
