WI: Tag

Did you see the small statue next to the hound?

Not real clear that it is a FOX, could be a raccoon. The dog is standing over a bird, there for a bird dog. AND not a HOUND.

bring it a little closer to the Mississippi side of the state

Had Scooter posted his tag of the tractor before I left for home from YooperSTOC, it wold be closer to you.

Old tag was at the New Fox & Hounds restaurant in Hubertus.

New tag would have been difficult to find via Google so here is some help:

Good tag, it took me 30 seconds to find suckow milling with google!

You're killin me smalls...

Did you find a link that gave the actual location? I only found one reference that listed a town name. Maybe I should strikeout the GPS location then... ;)

No leave them, I'm all for giving the location. Maybe more would play if they saw the post and said to themselves, "hey I can ride there, that's cool". This game doesn't need to be hard at all for it to live or die in your state.

Actually, even for an out of stater, I had it in under 30 seconds of online searching. I believe I could ride right to it.

There is a wide range of what people think is enough information or adequately broad hints; that will never change. Do what you think is proper.

But I agree with Ziamon, a much more experienced tag-hunter, that this game is not "hide and seek" it is "tag".

Unless you are specifically trying to limit participation to a few local riders who know all the secret good spots it's better to make the tag locations findable. You don't have to post an address or GPS coordinates right off the bat but some identifiable clues are good.

Part of the fun, at least for me, is enjoying the online search process; I won't physically hunt for a tag until I know where it is, more-or-less. If there is a tag I want to go get and I can't find it on my own, I'll ask for a hint. I've had to ask for hints on a couple of the mid-Atlantic tag locations, after hunting fruitlessly online for quite some time, and have always gotten good responses.

Good luck, and happy tagging!

New Tag: Back to restaurants; Scooter was hoping to go to Norske Nook for a certain fruit and pastry type dessert. This one is pretty close in Deforest. And bonus, got an Alphabet tag too just like Norb did recently!

Very close to Anchor Tag, same town. Yes, you can find it on Roadside America.

Really guys, no one went out in the last 2 weeks to grab this tag. Did you all put your bikes away already. I woosed out this morning. A little chilly. I need to some serious miles on her before I meet my other bike mistress in Arizona in January.

Do not find riding to Okauchee very rewarding as far as roads and sights to ride to. I will leave this one to those closer. Spoiled with non-straight roads in my area.

Come on it's part of the Kettle Moraine Scenic. Not as nice as what you have around your haunts. However, a flatlander had moved our tag. Sorry Kris.

Up tp Green Bay to visit my daughter, got the tag near Okauchee. Not sure if the new tag has been posted before, but I don't see it in the last three years, at least.

Great Day to Tag in WI. Not many left before the white stuff starts to fall.
Old Tag next to route 41 by the air museum in Oshkosh, New Tag rather obvious. Maybe the biggest mail box I've ever seen at a residence or any where else!!
