As you may remember my 023 rear was very short lived on the 1300... see my gallery

I'll not buy another 023 rear

I have liked the 023 front

And the 023 rear for the 1100 may be different?

I had the same issue on my 1300. 5,700 miles and the 023 was down to the cords. I am still on the 023 front though.

Same... 6300mi on the rear and it was gone gone gone. Front 023 is still holding strong at 8000 and looks like another 2k on it (and it is not scalloping). I don't like how stiff the 023's are (hard to install) but I do like that they're sticky and smooth--nice transition and good smooth lines through corners.

To the OP's comment, no, Bridgestones are NOT as bad as the dealer inferred. :)

I've just gotten back from a 4500 mile trip through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. With the high heat, roads with the texture of 10 grit sandpaper, and a heavy load, my BT023's held up surprising well. The front now has 5500 miles and looks 50% worn and the rear with 5000 miles is also about 50%. My two previous sets of BT020's each lasted about 10,000 miles so I would say the 023's are in the ballpark with the life of the 020's. I do like the grip of the 023's compared to the 020's. Looks like my next set will be the GT's.
