SENA SMH10 issue

To get the correct info go to www.senabluetooth.com click on support & then tech. support
they can tell you how to do it if it is possible with the SMH10

I have been back and forth with Sena tech support. Apparently the problem is that my GPS/MP3 combo utilizes A2DP bluetooth protocol. So does the SM10. The SMH10 headset will only receive one A2DP signal at a time so if I have music playing, the radar signal will not come through via the SM10. I thought the SR10 transmitter might be a workaround but according to Sena, this will not work either. So it looks like my solution to my problem is to connect my GPS to the SM10, radar to the SM10 and then just pair the SM10 with the headset. I have tried it and it works. I was just trying to eliminate one dangling cord.

That is prob how it's supposed to go... as you know the SMH10s have only ONE a2dp input. The GPS/MP3 would go to the audio side of the SM10, the radar to the AUX input... then there are TWO a2dp outputs streams from the SM10 to TWO Sena SMH10 units.

Good thing is that an AUX input sorce will lower the AUDIO stream source...
Bad thing is if your in INTERCOM or PHONE you still hear NOTHING !
I want to be able to set mine own priority levels!!

Yes...I agree. I don't like the priority levels they have. Don't understand why phone would be first.
That's why I hard wired in my radar.

Well I just rode for about 10 hours listening to music, made two phone calls and my Sena still has a lot more battery life than I thought. 4 blinkes is fully charged, mine still has two blinks. Not bad!!

Did you bring both units so you could swap them out during a long day? That works well for me. Just pair the 2nd one up like you have your main one. I should have thought of it and sent you with one of ours as a spare or while yours was charging.

I hope the trip is going well. Do you have your Spot on? I'd love to keep track of your progress.

That's about what we get ... 10hr+ on one day with intercom/music/phone. Max I've gotten is 12hr+ but over two days before it died. ( but was able to charge while riding )

Well I just rode for about 10 hours listening to music,

I just finished a ride and only got 7 hrs. out of mine listening to GPS/music. I have gotten more out if it before so don't know what the deal is. I showed fully charged when I started. Maybe just an aberation. Have to give it another try.

I did about 10 hrs with mine and I thought it had 2 blinkes, it actually had 3 blinkes left.
Leaving tomorrow 4 am for 50cc to San Diego, will let you know how long it will last exactly.

The first day I ended up getting about 16-17 hours listening to music all day long and making several phone calls. The second day I got was about the same, maybe 15 hours....little confused with the time change...LOL!

Dave how high was the volume? On my older SMH10 I was getting about 8hrs with it cranked up all the way with earplugs. I have the latest SMH10 now but haven't checked battery life yet.

Most of the time I had it cranked all the way, especially that high...high, high speed run across Texas!! LOL!

I wear ear plugs also...I wish it would go louder on xm radio, mp3 is good that seems louder than the xm radio.

I am real happy with the battery life!
