Hi all
I have a st1100r 1994 48000 miles which i am pretty sure the water pump has failed thanks to advise from John, as i am sure water is coming out off the weep hole,as i have removed carbs and checked everything else.
My question is where do i get one from as they seem to be obsolete in the uk. I have seen various engines selling for around ?150 pounds $200 , but i cant guarantee if pump will be ok as most are high mileage. On the U.K Ebay i can by a new seal and bearing kit for?50.00 $66.00 and can be fitted to pump for ?30 $40.
As i would have to change the cam belt as well while in there plus the carb boots and new radiator pipes gaskets and other bits am i better to sell bike as a none runner or carry on with the repair as this is becoming expensive and not to forget the bike is 22 years old.
I have already done the alternator ,clutch, pads and two new tyres so i am already pounds down.
Hopefully your advise might solve my my quires, but im not Donald Trump so money is tight
regards
