WoodSToc 3 - Aug 14-17, 2025 - Kingsclear, NB

Planning - that's what it takes to make it better each year. As excitement builds in my feeble mind, I'm visualizing the happy grins and satisfied moods of all who attend! Don't miss out, get on board!
And if you prefer, come by whatever conveyance you have on hand, and stop by my house to borrow a bike!

Went out for a little pre-ride along part of the Friday route yesterday. That old phrase about the "lazy hazy days of summer" came to mind. Glorious weather, magnificent landscapes! Much the same is promised for WoodSToc, can't wait...

Out on the T7 this afternoon. Some good fun on bush trails (for an old guy) complete with lots of water puddles and some rough areas to stand on the pegs. And naturally, a leisurely road ride through an area with "just look at the view" moments. Life is good!

Great stuff George! Love to read about your meanderings. But you know what would go great with those words: pictures! Yep, the greatest marketing tool ever. Let people fall in love with their eyes. Just a thought…

Cheers!

Took some shots while out to check a few details yesterday. I continue to be impressed with much of the landscape on the planned Friday route, and I think you'll like what you see. I'm learning that a slow pace offers a more comprehensive view, so will lead with that in mind.

Also stopped in at River Run to ask a few questions. The cabins look very good, and are air conditioned. Linens, towels, and even coffee - all provided. We have fire rings out back, and wood will be available. Easy motorcycle parking on solid ground. You can go for a swim in the pool, or walk down to the beach.
There are a few gents with whom I've pm'ed, you know who you are. Your attendance is respectfully requested, and your satisfaction is guaranteed!
And one more thing, let's get the guest list updated please!
And whether the weather - although there's another heat wave coming up, the longer term forecast for our event looks quite favorable indeed!

There will be quite a number of things to see that are unique, insofar as they are one-of-a-kind. One could say that about Niagara Falls, but I'm not sure anyone cares. Who hasn't seen that!
We do it all for you! There's also one twisty road in particular which you might like to repeat... And no traffic!
All this on the Friday ride, Obo will have us spellbound on Saturday!

Cabins are super nice, btw. Fire pit in back, grill in front, if you like to create some cheese dogs to go with your beer in the evening, lol...
Kind of important to call the resort to get your cabin, just do it !
set aside for our WoodSToc event, so to reserve one for your very own, a phone call [506-461-8582] to Dena's cell, with credit card in hand, is the way forward!
You may have have to leave a message for her to return your call, she's quite busy this being a weekend.

A note about the weather: although forecast highs here are 36 degrees for both today and tomorrow, there'll be much more tolerable temps later in the week. Friday's high, just 26! We can do this!

The guest list is a mess! All together now, let's fix it!

Happy Rob and the Mrs are out for sure. They didn't come back with us from Nfld. They are under evacuation warnings for both their house and cabin due to the VERY nearby fires, and Rob was also called back into work due to the fires.

Jim has had bike issues, which resulted in him using his car to lead the Rolling Rock 2 event (28th-9th.) Rob got word Saturday his car has now broken, so he's out too as far as the last conversation I had with him.

I won't there until Friday morning. Will meet everyone at Porters diner for breakfast at 8am. Will be staying Fri & Sat nights at the resort.

In addition, I'm told we'll have DannoVT, and Bmacleod. Welcome lads!
Oops, Mr Macleod informs me that he's got something to attend to, and will not join us after all.
