Anthropomorphism... anyone else do this?

I started naming all of my vehicles when I came back from Dawson Creek, a Girl friend asked me how my 68 Sport Fury was, licence plate was FCN 212 , unfortunately can't tell the name here on the forum. ST full name Lady in red," Lady" for short , 87 Dodge Van "Ruby" original paint color,Mazda car Mea2, , Wife's Dune buggy PeterPan ( her dad's name was Peter) , and almost forgot CX Eurosport "Babe" at naming time had spent many hours repairing the Gas tank and painting the bike, so it was my Baby at the time, Wife commented it looked like new.
My belief is everything in the Universe has some level of Consciousness, some high some low , positive thoughts seems to work better than negative ones. One thing I do every once and a while is turn off the Stereo and just listen to the Vehicle, and let it tell me if anything is wrong with it. Happy riding G

When I am enjoying the ST 1300 I refer to it as "The ST". When it misbehaves (tip over, bad fuel pump, flat tire, catastrophic battery failure 50 miles from home etc) I passionately call it YOU @#$%^&* POS! and yes it definitely does these things on purpose just to infuriate me!

Yeah, good movie. I just had a hard time to figure out if it was a RR, Bentley or Lincoln... :).

But going back to bikes, I read somewhere that items (any none-breathing things) do have a magnetism which making them to "like" you or opposite. You can feel it subconsciously. This actually influence on either your liking of the subject or not. At some cases you may not be attractive to it in the beginning, but it grows on you... Think about the "magnetism" between things and people.

Well....

  1. You can bathe your Motorcycle in front of your mother
  2. You gift your Motorcycle, the things that you want
  3. She’s always ready to go on a long ride
  4. She speaks only when you want her to. If your Motorcycle is too loud, you buy her a muffler.
  5. You can have more than one Motorcycle at the same time
  6. You can ride your Motorcycle anytime you want
  7. You can ride your Motorcycle the first time you meet her without taking her out to dinner or a movie
  8. Your Motorcycle accepts you just the way you are
  9. You don’t have to be jealous of the guy who works on your Motorcycle
  10. Your Motorcycle refers to PMS as Parked Motorcycle Syndrome
  11. When you gift your Motorcycle a saddlebag, she carries stuff for you
  12. You can ride your Motorcycle in public
  13. You can change anything that you don’t like about your Motorcycle
  14. Your Motorcycle doesn’t make you meet her parents
  15. Your Motorcycle does not mind if you leave her outside your home
  16. When you go out for dinner on your Motorcycle, you only pay for one
  17. You can take your Motorcycle to work everyday...

Could never understood why a bike is "she". It is gender neutral (i.e. no gender). It is "it" :).
I think I don't ride male equipment, but then.
I think if it is male, I must be riding "bitch"
In fact, SHE will take YOU to that dinner and movie, without comment or complaint.
I still have to pay for gas, with the female the gas may be free and shared at the wrong time
