15 All New 2026 Sport Touring & Touring Motorcycles Unveiled At EICMA 2025

One thing I am disappointed about over the last few years is this trend of blacked out rims, engines and frames of a lot of bikes and most of these bikes in the video continue this trend. I am a fan of aluminum/silver and chrome. I bought a white RT last year and although I don't mind the white, I would have preferred blue or black, but couldnt get past the "blacked out" look of the bikes. I am considering adding a Goldwing to my garage in the spring, but I'm dismayed at the selection of paint colors. I dont mind some colors so much , but the only silver/chrome lower option is the most expensive model, with options I dont care for. I am likely going to look at earlier used models of the latest gen GW. As marketing drives these color combos on new bikes, I guess I'm just in the minority.

Well, I agree with you. The 2018 wings now are pretty cheap and there are plenty of “cream puffs” if you are willing to cast a wide net and travel a bit.

I bought this 2018 wing with 14K miles and a bunch of farkles for $15K about 6 months ago. It was left over stock, and was sold and put in service in 2021 and has a 5 year extended warranty till 29. Looks and rides like a brand new bike and the best part is…….silver rims.

Gotta ask
Does the sunshine impact your ability to read digital displays?
Our 2006 ST and Hyundai have led segments. Speedo/tach in the ST remains visible when I cannot read the LED segments of the dash. Glare makes the Hyundai panel (all LED) useless. The degree depends on the angle of the light impingement.
Are the displays on these, or recent production, bikes any improvement?

I had a black 2011 NT700V. In black, it took my breath away. Gorgeous...in my eyes at least. A friend had a black F800GT. It too looked absolutely gorgeous. Both seemed rare. Most NTs are silver or maroon. Most GTs are white with some a nice looking blue. But few of either are in black.

When I bought my first F900XR, I was debating between the Triple Black colour and the white. The white looked really sharp, but based on my past experience, I took the Triple Black. The salesman pointed out how the black rear wheel rim would hide the dirt and oil from the chain. I think he was trying to find something to say. I knew it wouldn't. As time went on, I liked the black...but wished I had bought the white instead. The black seemed too black. This is about the best picture I have of the bike.

The black on black just seemed to have nothing to break it up. And unless there was some bright sunlight, like in the pic above, it just seemed like the black hid the lines of the bike. It never did what the other two bikes did and take my breath away.

Out of all those the only ones that really blow my skirt up are the Honda CB1000GT and the Suzuki SV-76X. Not sure if my old body would even fit around the Honda, if so I might even be able to let my 2014 FJR go. The Suzuki would be a great replacement for my 2013 V- Strom 650. But then again, are they going to get to the US before my riding days are over? At 76 years old it is a toss-up.

They are getting quite expensive for what they are. They are nice, but I’m cheap and would likely buy used if I was in the market for a bike (I’m not). The above score on the pre-owned GW is fantastic! I’ll assume the recall service on that one crank bolt was done (I think it was the crank bolt if memory serves)?

And I wanted the blacked out one!

All the panniers are hideous, bulbous, ugly afterthoughts. JMHO but the ST1100s’ are beautiful, fully integrated panniers. The best there ever was on a production motorcycle!

John
I think the manufacture will be selling the bikes with out panniers but offer them as an accessory. This to keep the price down and let buyers mix and match as they desire. Just as with the NT1100 in the US. Many folks don't want panniers or top boxes and some folks want to go after market. To me sound like a good sale strategy. Thus integrated panniers will not quite meet that goal.

A very engaging video. Thanks for that. I got a sense of being there. As such I found a lot of bits and bobs interesting. Away from that I probably wouldn't feel the same. At shows like this I'm a glass at least half full guy. One thing that harshes the mellow of an expo is old guys grousing about style. So many need to feel their opinions need to be shared by anyone nearby. People like those should stay home and drink.

For most of the 15 the sum was less then the total of the parts. Surprisingly I really like the look of the metallic green H-D Road Glide. The panniers were portable bath tubs though. I like the "retro" twin exhausts over the other H-D's two staggered mufflers on the same side. And I still like clocks over digital speed and tach displays. I would have had a blast at that show.

Bimota Tera, please. Rushed schedule did not allow me to stop by the Kawasaki booth this year, but I did spend some time scrutinizing the Tera last year.

That, or the Multistrada RS. Only bike in the video I swung a leg over as it's the only "ADV" bike other the the MS Rally I'm seriously considering. Quite impressive in the flesh.

The newish bikes toward "Adventure" is getting to be a yawn fest....:o-o:
Agree. I don't see how they call those bare-wheeled, tall-sprung, slapped-on bags, no-fairing bikes "sport tourers". I guess they are selling for a different generation. We don't count anymore.

I liked the Video, who ever did it has good technique, as far as what bike I would buy if I was into buying, none. Donks Picture of the blue GW would be possible.

There is a (not so?) small group of riders, myself included, that think of "sport touring" as a mindset more that a particular configuration of bike. I've sport toured on dedicated sport bikes and recently did some light sport touring, about 1500 miles, on a MT-07 (naked) delivering it to my son stationed in Kansas.
