I moved from a ST1300 to a K1600GTL 7 years ago. I love it. There aren't any known issue that would cause the buzzing that you are describing. There has been a recall on the transmission, but I believe that was for '18 and newer.
If you are a decent wrench, the maintenance can be done at home. There are plenty YouTube videos to guide you through whatever needs done. The factory service DVD is out there in eBay land. The dvd was not made available for the 24ish and newer bikes. There is decent aftermarket maintenance material available.
You will need either the Motoscan app and Bluetooth dongle or a GS-911 to service the bike though. It has canbus and things need reset after service is completed.
There is a K1600 Owners forum that contains a great deal of knowledge and information. Be forewarned though that it isn't the same atmosphere as this forum. There are a handful of members that seem to believe that they are the all knowing K1600 gurus. They can be real a$$es at times.
I have had a Honda since 1984. I got my first BMW in 2018. Reliability has not been an issue like I was afraid it might be. Parts are not cheap, and dealer services are not either.
