So I have a service manual now, this will make me dangerous, lol! Coincidentally I had stopped some specific work until I got one- and now I see that the part I needed help with is called the ABS Control Unit. Now why would a non abs bike even have a abs cu?!
Oh wait this same part is called the ECU in another chapter, so if it’s the ecu, why call it an abs cu, anywhere else,
period. When I first read abs cu I thought I don’t need that, don’t have abs so, less weight!
Now, I don’t know if this bike has abs or not.
Pretty sure it doesn’t, rims don’t have those “toothed” center patterns, which I had settled on- in determining if an st had abs or not-
Please show me the way!
I think what the book meant to say is the cu for abs is internal to the ECU(unless I am wrong again), on abs bikes
See how I can get dangerous, I expect oem manuals to be pretty specific.
