The turn table thickness makes it harder. Try adding a small sheet of plywood or two under your front tire to add offset.
Some here use one sheet in their flat garage to make it easier to get it onto the center stand.
Once you figure out the right thickness you could set the front tire paver stone to the best height.
avoid putting your turn table into a hole that will collect rain water......

I found that another 3/4" under the back wheel made all the difference. Also maxing out the preload so that the frame is as high as possible helped.
I think I also need to figure out the best technique.

Definitely not leaving it outside at all. I don't have space in my garage to turn it so I have to do it on my driveway. I set a concrete sidewalk block into the gravel and use that as a base.

PS. That is also what we call our ST too.
 
06 ST1300 non ABS. w/bags 749# on a Car scale.

explain again why this bike does not have reverse.

they were both when I was moving slowly forward on gravel and my foot slipped out. Reverse on even the slightest incline is a bit of a pain though, so I always avoid that. Or if I can't avoid it I get off the bike and push it backwards until I find level ground.

Came with a factory topbox (do they all have a nifty monogrammed mat?), bar risers, black reflective on the panniers and a 12v socket.

My shop floor concrete is smooth enough to just spin the ST on the center stand, works great.
