aftermarket windshield

I have to say that I am pretty happy with my clearview GT medium. After much research,,, my first choice would have been the more expensive Cee Bailey (no longer available),,, but the clearview was on sale for significantly less. I ordered it without the holes,,, as I thought those would be noisy. I had been raking my oem shield (about an extra 1/2") to push more air up the back thus largely reducing back pressure. And I have done the same with the clearview,, for the same good effect. The clearview does reflect a bit more engine and road noise,, as it is bigger,,, but it offers more wind protection. It's material is very strong,,, remains clear,, with no scratches and little distortion. And, it was about half the price of the Cee B.

I run mine almost all the way down,,, preferring to look over the shield. How do you use yours ?? CAt'
Quick question. How did you take it back? I may want to try this as I get a lot of buffeting with stock shield. Thanks for any guidance.

Have a look at the below to get an idea.
If you search you will find several variations on how-to, but all the same concept.

I have the screen mod done with Kydex vs aluminum. Was done when I got the bike so I can't compare a before and after as I've no need to remove it at this point.

Just out of curiosity, did you go with clear, light gray tint, or dark gray tint? Would you change anything if you had to order a replacement?
I bought the clear one and is happy with the choice.
Seems quite a few have problems with the holes fitting, regardless of make, so perhaps ordering without holes?
I just had to expand the holes a tiny bit, easily done with a drill.

I have not ordered yet, one reason is they didn't reply to a question I sent. That doesn't fill me with confidence. I'm tempted to go with the light tint though. I think it will look cool. I asked them to share a pic of a bike with that shield on it. So, hear's hoping i get a reply

I finally ordered the screen from Slipscreens. It looks really good on my bike, but it still caused a lot of buffeting. I was surprised there wasn't more of a swoop at the top edge of it, its barely there, just enough to distort the view a bit. I was able to ride with it at a lower setting, I had to solve the buffeting as I was headed for the Black Hills and wanted to be comfy. I ended up ordering a Puig clip on deflector that cost almost as much as the screen! But it works very well. Not as clean a look but you get used to it. 20230625_114200.jpg
